So, I've been lurking here for about a year doing research and doing a few minor plants that I successfully harvested. (I had a bunch of hiccups, but I feel like I got a bunch of experience too.) I've been thinking about moving up and investing in a setup and using my current equipment for veg.

I just wanted to get some advice since this will be a pretty decent time/money sink for me. Can anyone or multiple people review my list and see if there are any main components I'm missing, or need.

I'll be running a drain to waste.

(1) 5x5 flower tent [4x4 canopy]
(2) HLG 320 xl QB R-spec kit (qb288 )
(3) dual outlet heavy duty digital timers
(2) heavy duty surge protectors
(4) ratchet hangers
(1) AC Infinity T6 inline fan
(25 ft) 6 inch AC infinity ducting
(1) 6 inch diameter carbon exhaust filter
(1) 10 inch oscillating wall fan [canopy]
(1) 4x4 low rise tray [only drain hole]
(1) Flood + Drain fitting kit [drain only]

Well with all that money spent I would get a good ph pen, you want to be accurate, drops are a pain in the ass.

Your 640w of QB will light more than 4x4 if you want, you could go to 4x5 canopy.

Looks good though. Best of luck with the grows.
I do have a pen already, (Apera Instruments AI311 Premium Series PH60), plus some calibration and storage solutions.

I was more looking for the drops to be a secondary check point in case my pen is off.

Will I be able to have adequate airflow with the side 6 inchs of the tent taken up?

I really only need to produce about 300 grams of quality medicine in a 90 day timespan if that makes any difference.

Yeah should be fine, I run wall to wall when I can.

But if your not in it to maximise your footprint then no need to worry, 4x4 will produce lots of weed. :bigjoint:

First let me say kudos for your patience in figuring what you want to do. Excellent thought process.

When i built out my 5x5 space (7x 5, flexible but i use 5x5 of it), i looked hard at HLG. At the time they offered 4 board slates, and i bought the v1 boards and put up 2 strings of 4

So same idea as you but they have 4 boards each. What you should know is the Rspec is not important. I have a saber bar from them too with it, and its got good and bad elements. Not saying don't buy it, you just dont need it.

Critical is the more boards you have the more distributed the lighting is. While my boards easily light the entire space, it is a matter of how hot and close they have to run
When you run max power....and you will...it gets REAL hot. If you have more boards running the same power...it is not just more efficient but a LOT cooler. I.e. 2 boards running at 50w is WAY cooler than 1 at 100 or 120w. More boards means they can be closer to the plants. How tall your tent is therefore matters.

IF you have a lot of headroom, the QB96s are incredible and you can mount 9 of them in a perfect square...there is even a FULL study of how to distribute 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8, 9 in your space. A full on par chart for each!

Just saying...carefully plan lighting. More boards is way better than latest V2 or V3 technology. 9 qb 96s is cheap! And provides more light and power capability than any other solution. But they get hot, and need headroom...

If I could go back, I would buy a 3rd 4 board slate and distribute even more light with less power. You cannot have too many boards imo.
