New grower about to go into flowering

Hello everyone,
first post here and a newbie grower from a nordic country. Got myself some tents to grow my own stuff since its so expensive where i live. Getting tired of pouring all that cash into a black market thats largely ran by ###holes. I also enjoy growing and has grown tomatoes and peppers and stuff like that so im not completely new to growing and this jump has been lurking in the back of my mind for many years now.

Anyways, now ive got 6 plants growing 7 weeks old and i start to feel like its time to start flowering this weekend but ive got some questions..
Ive topped them a few times and also given them some LST and supercropping-snaps to try it out. I ended up with bushes and my initial thought was to make a scrog but i quickly realized what a hassle that can be to reach and to inspect the plants and such when you are new so im just gonna go natural.
*But the secondary branches in the middle has been shaded so they arent that big, are they worth keeping or should i take them off before flowering to focus on the big ones?
* Also, the very top nodes has started shooting small branches, how will these develop in the stretch? (see the close up pic) I cant picture how they will look after the stretch is done, the image i get is quite wierd.. :)
*Im not familiar with how much they grow during stretch, will all these plants fit or will i likely have to kill one or both of the smaller ones?
*I think i supercrop-failed some branches, there was no snap. I think they were too young and soft in the tissue. But these sites now has got like a semi-knuckle but most of them has cracked open along the stem so they got like holes inside.(EDIT: You can actually see one of the brown holes on the branch by the temp-wire) They seem to slowly be repaired though. Should i wait until they are all healed up before flowering or will they heal stuff like that during stretch aswell?

Sorry for the spam of questions but i feel pretty insecure about going into flowering :)

(the setup is temporary, im getting my ducting done to handle the 600W HPS)

It has been done.. Just my luck though, after switching i noticed a calcium def on one of the strains.. Took them out and gave them a foliar and dumped alittle bit of water wit calmag in the soil. Cant check on them until tonight when the light comes on, dont want to interrupt their sleep. I think i did the solution abit too strong, hence my worry. Can you really overdue it with calmag?

Wish me luck!

You can take the lower branches off "lollypopping" and the plant will devote that energy to the upper branches. Another method id to let the top of the plant ripen, cut it and then let the rest ripen a bit more. They usually stretch to be at least double the height of the plants in veg. Those little branches are just more budsites, they will usually push up to the canopy

Alrite, ill probably take off the smaller ones. Should i do this now when they go into stretch or could i wait until the stretch is over and pick off the loosers?

Im seriously starting to doubt they will all fit, especially if all the little branches in the closeup branch out alot.

The white widow has had a troubled life and now seem to be paused again for almost 2 weeks, just like she did when she was tiny. Yellowing and everything so might have to put her down for space. Too bad, only got one of the ww to take. Just had trouble with that one, only seed out of 5 that survived. The other ones cracked but had a really dark black membrane thingy that held them in. When i got it off with a pincer they had rotted. What was that black stuff?

The inside membrane of the seed usually...sometimes they don't want to shed and need help being peeled off...recently I learned you can cheat and put a clear plastic cup over the seedling for a day or so, the high humidity should help moisten it enough for the plant to the shed it...

Welcome to RIU, and the wonderful world of cultivating the world's most misunderstood and feared medicines!!!

The only 'advice' I can give you or anyone is to read and learn and then apply what you have read and learned to your garden and you cannot fail. Anyways, remember the search tool is your friend...Lots of folks here willing to help a new farmer get up and growing. But at the end of the day your grow will be only as good as the knowledge and work you put into it.

It is always great to ask questions but do not take anyone's advice or opinions and follow blindly. And remember anyone may have a well-known member status…but that means they have posted and responded to many threads and does not always mean well-educated growerz. Do your own research, you will be much happier knowing you have done it for yourself and by yourself. The first buzz you get from your own budz...is by far the BEST high you will ever have!

Do a search using your current question as the keyword(s) and ZOOOM!! Like Wonka's Great Glass Elevator…off you go to tons of threads answering all your questions. Read all the Newbie Central stickies and learn…

Soaking up all that information and sifting through it, is going to take time. You will likely finish your first grow by then. Viola! grow complete and education well under way.

You have a nice set-up and what looks to be a great grow. Don't over think it. You apparently have knowledge and instinct about cultivation...listen to your gurlz and follow your gut. :peace::peace::peace:

Thanks for the answers and the welcoming! Always trying to learn and take in new info. There is alot of conflicting views and answers on almost anything you search for tho :) Trying to go by heart alot, i dont use feeding schedules and stuff like that.
Learn alot from The Dude Grows podcast, the thing i keep hearing is how important the soil biology is, the mycos and the bacterias. Almost getting me paranoid only using myco at replant. Next run tho, ill inoculate that soil like a mfa.

Just had a check up on the WW and she is doing better. I stripped the yellow leaves yesterday and gave her some bloom-nutes and she seem to like it. Shes pretty small tho..
