New grow!!

ok about to start a new grow need a little help. iv got a 30"x16"x9" cab and i want to do a cfl grow what kind of clfs should i get and what can i do as far as light proofing the cab ?? will take pic if it will help .

9 inches? Dang that will be one micro grow.

Pics always help...My space isn't much bigger, and I use CFLs as well! You can check out my grow to see the setup I got going right now. I got a 125w CFL off amazon for 35$ish, and added a bunch of other 26w CFLs around the sides of the plants. I only have 2 plants in my space, but you could probably only grow 1 in yours...do you have seeds purchased, I like to buy seeds from attitude seed bank! It would be your best bet to get a feminized seed buddy!

Ill take some pic when I get home and yea I got some blue Mythic seeds from Nirvana and only doing one for now going to take a clone or two of her and keep going from there

You need 6500k cfls for veg and some 3700k for flowering. I would have at least 2 35w bulbs for each plant you plan on growing.


OR you could get a t5 fixture, like a 2' 2 bulb jobber.

OR

a PLL fixture, same specs as above but better than t5's.

for first 2-3 weeks of plants life you should only need 2 26w 6500k cfls.

If you are going 12/12 from seed tho, I recommend two 2700k cfls and one 6500k cfl. (26w)

(the 6500k bulb over top the plant will help control stretch)

2000 lumens is like nothing.

one 23w is 1700 lumens.

Put 3 bulbs in there and you will be happy. Start with one 6500k and then add the other two once the plant is bigger.

I would start with the 6500k and once you see the first flowers switch to half 2700k.

Depending on your space and heat issues, fit as many as you can in there.
