ok first time grower got a 4/8 tent which is actually 4/9 and a 4/4 tent. For my 4/4 tent I got a sun blaze 4ft 8 bulb t5 panel. And for my 4/8 tent i have 2 yield master classic hoods with 1000 watt hortilux HPS bulbs running from 2 lumatek digital adjustable ballast. So i can run the lights at 600 watts 750 watts or 1000 watts right now i have them at 750. ok so my question is on continual harvest ? i'm looking into continual harvest.
So with the set up i have now what would be the most efficient and economical way of getting a continual harvest what are some of your methods. I get the concept of a veg room flower room and keeping mothers for clones but whats the most efficient way ? I was thinking of trying scrog ? And if theres anybody with a setup similar to mine i'd like to know what kind of yields i can expect with a 2000 watt flower room in a 4/8 ? And what would be the ideal number of plants to flower at a time in a 4/8 any input on my set is welcome questions comments all welcome ! thnx RIU community !

here's a line up of the nutes im workin with Gh flora, bc, root 66, x nutrients, free sample ? boombastic, rootastic, super thrive,

Since Im using about the same setup in concept Ill lay mine out

FLOWRE ROOM - 2X 3x3 trays - each under 1kHPS - flower room (built room can be tent instead)
I can fit exactly 16 containers in the tray, I usually opt for 10 due to plant size

MAIN VEG - 1x 3x3 tray main veg tent - fits close to 20 containers (smaller then my flower containers) - usually keep at 16

PRE-VEG - 1 1ftX4ft space with 16-32 pre-veg rooted clones in quart container also jam my cloner in here.

Mom area (optional if not keeping many strains, just clone veg plants if no mothers needed)

My system always has extra plants to allow for proper selection at each transition to eliminate un-healthy plants.

start with 32 clones.
Once rooted put into pre-veg area/ dont transfer sick clones.
Cut 2nd clone batch
After 2-4 weeks in pre-veg (no feeding in pre-veg) transfer into veg-pots move to veg-tent, kill un-healthy plants
2nd clone batch should be ready for pre-veg
cut 3rd clone batch
10-16 in veg tent - veg for 2-4 weeks depending on height and preference - transfer into flowering pots and move 1st batch to 1st flower tray (3x3/4x4)
2nd clone batch ready for full veg
3rd clone batch ready for pre-veg
cut 4th clone batch
4 more weeks - everything shifts up, 1st flower batch half done, 2nd flower batch starting flower, 3rd batch in full-veg, 4th batch in pre-veg, cut 5th batch
continue...............

One of my keys is the "pre-veg" section.
its technically a veg phase but I do not feed my plants here, letting old recycled un-amended soil feed the plant with what it has left until the roots are established and ready for some real food. This lets the plants establish in a nice, safe, cool, moderate light enviroment, if a plant has a hard time in here its no good for the long haul and needs to go.
Usually I get a topping or two in hear so by the time the plants go into main veg they are nice, healthy and already established with a few tops making the whole veg phase a snoozer.
because you cut more plants then you use it helps to have a little extra room to play with for the odd-ball stragler or even a healthy plant you just cant bring yourself to discard do to lack of space. In the end you have more material then you need at almost any phase.
You have to give yourself some time to play around with too, sometimes a flower will take an extra week, sometimes you want that extra couple inches in veg before making the switch...plants cant put a hinderence on any well laid schedule so you have to be flexible.

I would personally run a perpetual, 5-8 plants whether from clones or seed, 5 weeks in veg, then move the plants into the 1st half of your 4x8 using 16 sq ft, once transfered start another batch of 5-8 plants in veg- 5 weeks later your first set with be half way done, and your putting the 2nd batch into the 2nd half of your flowering tent, and so on, this way you can harvest every 5 weeks! Depending on strain 4-6 weeks in veg, 8-11 weeks in flower, sativas I would veg for 4 weeks, indicas 5-6 weeks, trying to time each batch of 5-8 plants to never run over 105 days. Dry and Cure for 2-3 weeks, if done right this can run like clockwork, with a kilowatt bulb and 5-8 plants, number of plants can be adjusted to what works for you, either way you could easily harvest 500 grams every 5 weeks, after the intial 17-18 week cycle!

You can always take 2 cuttings from each plant in the week before going into flowering, that way you can avoid space needs for mother plants, just a idea. This is how I ran my system years ago, and here in the next couple months will be running a 3x3 tent for veg, and 4x6 for flower, undecided on lighting for the veg tent, but will run 2x600s for the 4x6. I personally like growing 6 under each 600, with either 3 strains 2 plants of each, or 2 strains with 3 plants from each. Attitude makes growing from seed more appealing, and easier to grow different strains whenever I feel like it!
