Hi all I am pretty new to this and have recently baught a house, with a room in the basement we are dedicating to growing.

So I have pretty much have it set up except for ventilation.

The room is 21.5 feet long 10 feet wide and 8 feet tall.

I know I need intake and outflow fans but have no idea which size and cfm I would need to push air through this room.

Also any suggestions for carbon filters?

I am running a 18x8 bloom room and 8x5 veg roughly and I use an 8inch a/c infinity fan from amazon wasnt the cheapest but i opted for the unit that came with a digital LCD screen and its programmable to increase/decrease with humidity .

But anyway i do not use an intake fan just passive intake ...

Fan inside room sucking air out of room and routed to outside via flex duct my new fresh air is pulled through my veg room I cut a hole on the bllom room side for intake and a hole on the opposite wall pulling fresh air from garage where the rooms are .

I have heard read and understand people use intake fans but i seem to be fine without it and just passive even for larger rooms ....

Please note I am A beginner grower and my method may not be ideal/correct but it works from seed to harvest . And my room is not packed with plants i have 26 with over half of them being smaller in there infancy stage ...hope this helps a bit ...

A/c infinity fans on amazon 4,6,8 inch $299 cad for a nice 8 inch with programmable screen nice unit in my opinion .
