New grow room April 2019

Hi
I will be moving to my new house April 1 2019. The basement has this weird room that i will be using for a grow room.

It has a ceramic tile floor and a drop ceiling at 5 foot 2. On top of the drop ceiling there is about an additional 6 inches of space i can use but I have to take it over and see what is up there. I think it is all the rough in wiring etc

Each square on the pdf is 1 square foot. IT is 16 feet at the back side to side and 16 feet from front to back but its in an L shape. The grow area at the back will be 6 feet by 10 feet (or 6 x 12) and enclosed. I was going to use short tents but i might as well use the entire space. This will be a flower room for my 4 plants

I will use a tent to veg them and put them in or build a veg spot in the room. I have not decided

I will put a 6 inch vent going outside (it is on the wall side).

What is the lowest you would run a 315 CMH ? I have 5 foot 2 and can hang it so that i have 5 feet from light to ground. This was the original question

I have about 650 watts of cobs/samsung and a 315. And i will be scrogging everything to fit the space. 200 watts per plant would be perfect.

Other than the 315 i have
200 watts of vero in 3.5 k
240 watts of citizen in 4k
238 watts of samsung strip in 4k
678 watts the 2 in 4k were on sale so they are my everything lights.

135 watt samsung QB in 4k. This will stay in the veg tent

I might change out the 315 CMH for 238 watts of strips in 3k. It would be easier for clearance.
Or maybe i just run all of this stuff and see what happens. I have to keep it under 1300 watts on the 15 amp circuit

I'm sorry but I don't not think you will be able to grow anything in that low of space with a 315, the only chance I can see anything working would be some type of leds, or maybe strips!

I could be wrong, but highly unlikely!

Thanks. I have decided to give the 315 to a friend and am running 1000 watts of various cobs and samsung. It will be a start.

It turns out the 5 foot 2 tents i have were practice for this.

Regarding the room it has a drop ceiling. IT is the usual panels of a drop ceiling.

Should I paint them all with kilz? I was planning on doing the walls with kilz flat white instead of using the mylar i have but i may paint it and then put the mylar on too.

The ceiling has me stumped. IF i remove it the studs are 5 foot 8 from the floor but all of the rough in stuff is hidden in it and it would be hard to seal.

With the drop ceiling and the kilz i think i can extract the space better.
13 x 5 foot 10 x 5 foot 2 = 390 cubic feet. My extraction fan can handle it.

What do you think?

If it's your house get rid of the drop ceiling and use that space.

It is mine 100% owned. Removing the ceiling will expose all of the floor joists. Should i not cover all of that up or seal it so the extraction works bettter?

It is a lot easier to remove it. No one is looking at it but me and maybe i paint the floor joist with kilz. That makes a lot of sense.

It is prettier now though.

I would just leave it open. Ugly but free height. Use the joists to hang equipment from. Properly. You can always put a flush ceiling up later but less mold chance if open and lit up. In my opinion.

I will pull it apart and see what im dealing with. I have to run circuits anyway and a vent to outside.

Cricitcal mass is growing in my small tent and they topped out at 3 foot 2 inches with the pots. But i love sativa.

I am going to build a couple of 3 foot scrog nets out of PVC 3 x 3 foot so i can keep them shorter if running sativa heavy strains

I was able to change out the 4k hortibloom for a 3k and added a 2nd so i am up to 920 watts plus the QB 135. I will start with that and see what happens.

It is like Christmas and i got coal for 20 years...

I had a beauty den in mind for a grow room and my kid said its the best computer room ever. This room was a real surprise i thought it was 6 x 6. So we both get what we want and i told him this is my cannabis room. He said hey at least we both have a hobby :D

My friend is down on their luck always and paying too much for OCS or blackmarket weed. I said find a space in your house at least 2 1/2 feet square and 6 feet clear space and i will send this to you. Get a tent and filter.

I had it listed for 350 with 2 bulbs and a guy said 250 and i said I would rather give it away and so i shall.
