new grow box light question

im building a new box i had a 250 hps im plan to put in a thousand watt light the problem is the best deal i can find is on a mh not hps so i was wondering if this whould work out or should i try and find hps

hps is better than mh if you have to choose only one for the whole grow. also, really hard to control temps with a 1000 watt light in a small box.

the box is 6ft tall 2.5 ft deep and about 6ft long and i plan to use just one will there be a big differnce in quality and yield if i just ues mh

even at that box size your ventilation is going to be a lot harder - not saying you can't do it but don't expect to just replace the light and go - i'd strongly recommend an air cooled hood.

as for yield, i've never seen anyone do a side by side comparison but the logic is that mh gives off much less of the wavelength of light needed for flowering compared to hps. that means that a lot of the extra light in a 1000 is wasted.

you might want to think about a 600 watt hps instead. you're kind of in overkill range with a 1000 watt light in that box.

so im gonna do 5 easy ryders in this space if i get a 400 watt hps and run my 250 and the 400 will that be enough light
