New grow/ AeroFlow/ 9 Flowering! Back into it and happier than ever!

Hey guys,

After a long while not growing and wanting to get back into it (for real this time) I have finally gotten legal and started up. My first grow was in my old apartment in an 8x4 tent. I bought as I went and it wasnt the best but I was able to finish it with 10 plants, 2 600 watt hps, and a 6 in fan/filter. Everything was going well, I sacrificed some bedroom space but it was totally worth it. In the end I ended up moving out to a bigger home and selling my tent ( I grew roughly 1.2 lbs in 4 months over 2 harvests, proud for my first 2 harvests).

I now have a 9.5x9.5 flower room (poorly self constructed) that will ultimately be running 4 600watt lights. I have upgraded to an 8 inch 735 cfm fan/filter and will eventually be putting 3 - 12 site aeroflow units in there running a perpetual grow (harvesting every 3 weeks). As of now I am burning out the last of my soil plants. I am running AK-47, White Widow, Blue Rhino and Banana Kush all in 10 gallon or 3 gallon fabric pots. The soil plants are on a House and Garden Soil A/B formula along with a little bit of tiger bloom in the mix. The big ones are almost 4 weeks into flowering. There are also 2 smaller ones that started flowering 10 or so days ago.

The Veg room is temporary and will eventually be moved into the closet/ flower room. There will be 2 cloning totes in the closet (1 for rooting clones and 1 for vegging plants). Once ready to flower they will go directly into the Aeroflow units until harvest.

There is a ton of work to do still and ive been to busy to do any of it, but I wanted to get back on RIU and share. Im happy to here and feedback or questions. I know I was pretty vague but I have alot of changes coming and plan on keeping this updated as I go !

The banana kush is the only strain ive grown before. It was a heavy yielder last time and I have a 3 gallon Banana Kush plant whose nugs are getting bigger than all the 10 gallon strains ( Blue Rhino, AK-47, White Widow)!

Looking forward to getting some new strains in the mix for the future.

Hey guys! I dont have any real updates. All plants in veg room are going strong and clones are rooting faster than expected. Everything looks great in the flower room as well. Some of the bigger cola's are almost 6 feet from the floor but im pretty sure they have stopped growing.

Anyway I'm trying to be more active on here and wanted to share some of the meds I picked up while I wait for this harvest.

Next we have some Jack Herer ( I doubt it). It has a very unique smell though


And finally my favorite of the batch is "Lemon Ice". Dense nugs that look, smell and taste great. I love buying variety but I wish I would have gone all Lemon Ice this time aound.


One last shot of the jar. Sometimes I mix my strains together just because I hate having a bunch of jars on my desk (anybody else do that?). Snagged it all for 150/oz

Update. 6 Weeks flowering (on the main big ones). I have moved my aero unit into the flower room as well. I went out of town for a little bit and the plants got a little stressed but they are bouncing back fine.



The white widow is my favorite of the bunch. Seems to be the most dense and of course covered in crystals. Im rly trying to get a better camera because mine isnt doing justice.



The banana Kush is what I grew last and it still amazes me how fat the buds get with this strain. Its in a 3 gallon pot but the cola is just as big as the 10 gallons....of course I didnt put a lighter or anything in the pic

So in my while I was gone I had a ballast go out on me. I am sure it is the ballast because I can swap it and the fixture is fine. Its barely a month old and the fan kicks on like its getting power but no light =(
I also noticed that my White Widow plants are getting some sort of burn/ deficiency. I havent checked to much as my biggest concern was bugs but I cant find any sign. I am also only seeing this on the WW plants and I figure with bugs they would be everywhere. Anyway if anybody has any ideas on what it might be I would appreciate all the feedback. Here are pics


Im looking forward to cutting down this batch and doing a few fixes. Every grow I learn more and more and this has been a big one for me so far. I have been tossing the idea around of sticking with soil and just putting 2-4 plants per light and just giving them tons of room to grow. I would probably stick with a perpetual system and harvest 1 light every month. My concern is I dont have the veg room for that. Anyway These should be coming down around 9 weeks so keep checking back and ill keep updating.

Picked up some new meds for the week...hopefully it will last me till I chop but i doubt it =D

Strain is BubbleJack

Smells great and I got some nice plump nugs. Its not the prettiest weed but it looks pretty good.
It was supposedly organic but I never trust that unless i know the grower. Smokes smooth and doesnt rly have a taste.
Good medicine overall

7 Weeks Flowering:

Im starting the flush now and I plan on cutting down at 9 weeks.


Right now the Blue Rhino looks like its very close to done. The rest may need to go longer/get chopped a little early. I have faith it's all going to work out =D

And on the other side of the room I have narrowed it down to 1 problem ballast but if I unplug it a few times it works for some reason. Gotta wait for payday before I can get a new one =(
For now Im switching them back and forth each night and the plants dont really seem to mind.

Entering Week 2 of Flower:


And Ive been so busy at work (and a little lazy) I still havent completed little veg area. But for now...


I put took some pretty newly rooted clones and put them in the 2 5 gallon buckets with air stones in each. I used to play around with Deep water Culture a little just because it was easy. I wanted to try it out again and hope to turn these 2 plants into 2 Good sized mothers. They haven't been doing so well in the transfer though, they both look a little droopy and a little moist. My best guess is that they are drowning from the change over from being misted to sucking air bubbles.

Hey guys just wanted to update.

Moved my plants to their new veg home. I still need to get a few things in the closet with them but this is what it should look like for the foreseeable future.


Again the 5 gallons im trying to work into moms, the smaller yellow lid tote is a cloner and once they get an established root system I move them over to the bigger tote with nutes for veg. From there they will go into my flower room. Im just waiting on my soil ones to finish off before I move these ladies over.

The flower room is a little over 8 weeks in for the soil and 3 for the aero although the soil does not look like it.


The Ak-47 seems the furthest from finishing but I am really trying to chop everything at once. They have been on flush for 1 week now and I was hoping to chop in about 7 days but it doesnt look like that is going to happen.

The White widow is still my favorite. Cant wait to have a full grow of these going


The blue Rhino looks like it will be done first. Im going to have to talk myself out of chopping it before the rest. I'm going to snip off a few bottom popcorn nugs tonight just to test.


And last but not least. The banana Kush is still a fine looking flower.



Next update I should have some dried popcorn bullshit nugs but its better than nothing!

Smoke bongs and Sing songs

As promised here is a few pictures of the popcorn that I cut off early.

And fresh cut...Again this is just the lower popcorn that I should have cut off before flowering. They were starting to droop down to the floor and I couldnt have that. The rest will come down together

So I went in to water tonight and noticed that the main cola on the Banana Kush had snapped.

I had been thinking for the last few weeks that I needed some extra support. I figured if they had made it this far that they would be fine and just implement it in the future. Oh well...The banana Kush was just too dense for the smaller stalk.
Lesson learned. I thought about propping it up and letting it go but I figured it would be best to just chop and save the plants the stress (Pretty sure it happened within the last 24 hours).

So this wont be the best update but its something. Went out of town for a little and expected to chop the soil on my return. I dont think they are all ready and I really want to chop them all at once. The Ak-47 is starting to show a few amber trichs but most of the hairs are still white. I plan on giving them all 5 more days and going from there.

I cut of a few more samples off and should have some more input soon. Sorry the room is dirty. I was picking off all my nasty leafs and throwing them on the ground before I swept. Its all better now

On the plus side I learned and have set up a better system on my aero unit (hopefully)

They are all coming along nicely and appear to be flowering faster than the soil parents.

I will have another unit in next week hopefully.
