hi,
so this is my second grow. My first grow was okay, except for the lawn mowing episode right next to my fresh air intake. I actually had raw air from outside being pulled into my tent, pretty stupid. Another mistake I had was my bucket setup I was trying, and I tried to airate just one bucket and allow the water to passively flow amongst all 4 buckets....that was a disaster. I started with seeds, and I built the set-up around those seeds. I had nothing, and I even converted an old fridge into a grow hut, you can check my first posting to see what I'm talking about.
PPM TDS EC PH all that shit, make sure you have the best tools possible to regulate these nutrients water softness areas. I had a cheap TDS meter, that was actually reading 600 ppm shy, so my plants weren't at 1400 ppm in week 6 of flowering, they were at 1900, and I burnt the shit outta them.
I'm gonna shut-up for now and just show you my new grow. I just came off 24 hour darkness, and now I'm hitting with the HPS and going 12/12. Enjoy the pics

Your plants look awesome.
It's obvious that your doing it right.
I see some burnt leaf tips in one the pics.
I wouldn't worry about it though, your plants look great.

All the crap that your talking about growing hydroponically is why I switched to soil.
It's alot cheaper, and personally I think the smoke is better when grown organically.
I did hydroponics for years, and it sucks.
There's too much shit you have to deal with.

How do you like that hydroton (clay pebbles)?
I hated using that crap, because it made everything so damn dirty.
No matter how many times you rinsed it, it was still dirty.
Now I mix all my old hydroton within my soil to help aerate the soil.
But when I was growing hydroponically I switched from hydroton to using diatomite.
Diatomite is sea bed rocks. Their very light weight and porous. Plus they rinse off very well and you can use them over and over again.

Good luck, I hope you have a bountiful harvest.

thanks bongjuice. Yeah the clay does get dirty, and I was going to use colorful aquarium rock, because I water every 4 hours, and they wouldn't dry up. They would be a little heavy on the roots though. I was also thinking volcano, but lava and clay and whatever else will dissolve after while, and like you said, they get dirty.
Yeah, there was a little burn, but I upgraded to the milwaukee testers, and it's on the hizzl now. Check some very recent pics..I'm on about week 7, went a little long on veg, hope the tent is big enough.:weed:
