What up people, so here’s the story I am a second time grower 1st time indoors, I am going to grow in 2 rooms, my 1st room will be the veg room in a 2x2x2 box it will contain 6 27w 5500k 1400lu bulbs, home made hood, the setup are in the pics, my question is how many plants should i be able to veg in that area? For the flowering area how big should I make it? I want to be as stealth as possible but yet grow as much is possible! Thanks for the help

If you get autoflowers like snowryders, lowryders..etc you can veg 6+ in that area as they only get about 15" tall.....
In the below pic area 22" X 20" X 5ft I can hold two full size 4ft plants or 6 autos......

2 ft tall minus 9in. (the hood and lights), minus 2in. (distance from top of plant)= barely over a foot of height left. Without topping or LST that is going to make for a very short veg period before they outgrow the box. So in that respect you're not going to need a very big flower area. Flower room should be at least 3 times as big.
Also, and I realize that this is nit-picking but only 1400lumens at 27 watts? That is a weak lumens to watts ratio. My CFL's (while nothing special) are 23 watts and 1600 lumens. Over the course of weeks or even months even the smallest of differences add up signifcantly. Thats my 2 cents even if its only worth 1. :) Happy growing!

Thanks for the reply, its my first time indoor so just wanted to start out as small as possiable for the veg iam planning on making that veg room a clone room, but for now it will do, one of my lights broke but i added 4 other ones, so i am now running 4 14 watt bulbs at 5000k and 800 lu each, and 5 27 watt bulbs at 5500k and 1400 lu each if my math is correct i am running 191 watts total 47,500k total and 10,200 lu total for a 2x2x2 area. My flower room will be 3'L 6'W and 11'High, would this do.

If you want to grow a mom in there you are almost certainly going to have to tie her down (which actually, I recommend doing regardless of the room you have). 1ft of height will barely allow a plant to get big enough to grow branches suitable for cloning. Sure you can put 6 in there but they will out grow the box long before they show sex and are ready to clone. If you've got feminized seeds I'd put two in there and tie them down.

Ok so right now the majority of my problems lie with the height of the box, what if i add another 1' of height iam guessing this will be a big advantage.

Absolutely! Spend a few lookin at other people's pics in the Growroom Design and Setup forum. It may give you some ideas. :peace:

Ok so after doing some serious thinking i finaly brought the height of my box to 3' 1/2", i believe this will do just fine right now, the box that i built is from a 2 drawer file cabinet, and i think i did a great job so far for a first time veg box, i will be installing a 10" round fan in the back, iam still unsure for exhaust but ideas would be helpfull

Your tape is fine don't worry about it. It is designed to be around electricity, hence the name electrical tape. It is no more flammable than the surge protector itself.
