New Closet Set-up Heating / Ventilation / Filter Question:idea:
Closet Size: 4.5'W, 3'D, 8'H
I have just put a 250w HPS in my closet and the "high" temp now reaches 30'C, was 25 with CFL`s. But were in winter now so I`m a little worried about the temp especially since I`m sure it will go up 10'C once summer hits. My closet has no intake or outtake at the moment, I have been relying on opening the door 2 or 3 times a day for air exchange. Although I`m sure some of the cracks around the door are also acting as a small passive intake/outake(as I can smell them when the fan kicks on lol). Plus the girls are starting to get a bit stinky and would like to eliminate that too.
Required Actions:
- Lower Temps
- Lower Odor

Solutions:
I am looking for the easyiest solution, also one that requires the least amount of hole cutting since I rent. So here are the options I have came up with, Will these fix my problem?

1. Add a Ozone-Jr (Running 15 min an Hr) to increase the Co2 and Oxygen so It helps
with smell and allows the heat to not affect the plants so much cause they are
receiving additional Co2 from the Ozone-Jr?
2. Bite the bullet and cut a hole in roof, then add a carbon filter and extractor fan
outtake through the roof?
3. Bite the bullet and cut a hole in roof, then add a carbon filter and extractor fan
outtake through the roof? AND add a small bathroom intake on the closet door?
4. Bite the bullet and cut a hole in roof, then add a carbon filter and extractor fan
outtake through the roof? AND add run another duct out the roof (duct reaching the
ground level of closet) to another area for intake?
5. Either solution 2-4 with a cooltube or air-cooled hood?
OR...
Any other radical ideas and cooling methods are welcomed. I would prefer NOT to run roof ducts if I don`t HAVE to.

2 More Questions.....
1. I have the option to put the light ballist in the closet or out the closet, I have tried
both methods and the 250w ballist does produce a little heat, however it DOES NOT
change the temps in the grow room. But I was concerned that maybe it should still
not be in the closet since it reaches 30'C plus the humidity. Will that heat be bad for
the ballist? Should it stay in the closet or be removed if it does not increase temps?

2. Do passive bathroom vents let light out? I want more fresh intake, but dont want
light to come through....

+Rep for good and quick response`s!
Thanks in advance and Cheers!

nice set up's you might wanna check to see how air tight the squire cage is so its only sucking through the filter and not leaking through a manufacturing air leak in the way it was put together.iam not sure what you used inside the box for reflective material but you might wanna google top 5 most reflective surfaces you will be amazed at what they are. also it looked like your ballist was cap-coil if so and you said you are running a 250 you might wanna look at the 250 Ceramic Metal Halide look at a spectral chart of the regular 250 hps v.250 CMH not only does it give you better light quality but it runns 5 to 8 degrees cooler and its cheaper. its just a thought if you are having heat problems right now. hope it helps ...............................peace Wishbuilder
