New clones coming, need help!

Hey guys, I'm getting in total 4 new clones. They are around 6" tall. I am going to use about 8 4 foot Flouros, 5 cool whites and 3 warm whites proboly as close to the plant as possible.

I am looking to do more of a secretive grow. Could that work?

Should I start right away with 18/6 or 20/4? Which would be better?

I have almost 5 feet of growing area for the plants.

What height should I grow to in the vegetative state?

Lastly, I am not sure at all about Nutes. So help with that would be aweseom.

im no pro, but im pretty sure cfls put out more lumens and are better, 6500k for veg 2700 for flower and i would do 18/6 and plants double to quadruple in size during flowering, but you can always do low stress training which is tyeing down the plant in order to control the size and allow more light to get to the hidden buds, it can increase your yield by alot

I would say only grow to a foot max during vegging unless you have enough light to put on the sides. The floros you have probably do not have a high enough output to reach much farther than that. You could also do LST or something along those lines to have more plant surfaces near the lights.

I have 3 15 watt Cool white bulbs right now which put out 870 lumens each ay 4100k which isnt the best I know.
I plan on 8 in total. For VEG I will use 6 cool and 2 warm and the for FLOW I will use 6 warm and 2 cold.
The 8 lights will roughly run 7000 lumens for 4 plants, is that enough?

My plan will be 4 lights on top and four aiming at the sides.

Can you explain more about LST?

Finally, Since my plants are roughly 6 inches I will only hafta veg around 30 days??
Than switch to Flowering till the Tris are a nice amberish colour?

Will this setup work to get an alright yield?

What I would do is just put two bulbs on top and then put three sets of two on the sides. This will allow you to have better light coverage of the entire plant. This should increase your yield a bit from having four lights on top. You can grow them taller because you will be able to spread the light over a greater area.

i would use a mixture of fluorescents and compact fluorescents. lst stands for low stress training. its when you slowly bend and shape the plant. cfl and tube fl lights are the bomb for this because the plants dont grow as fast and allows you more time to train them..!!

So you say I should VEG it to roughly 1 foot?

How tall will the plant be when done if I only VEG it to 1 foot? Estimate.
