New clones are bending at the stem and dying (with pics)

Hi all!

Did a search but was not able to find someone with the same issue as me. Hopefully, someone will be able to refer to this post when they run into this problem.

Anyways, here's what's happening.

I took clones from a healthy mother last week, now this week I've noticed that about half of the clones are bending at a 90 degree angle at some points in their stems and dying... they are turning black after falling over at this 90 degree bend (no coming back)

The Temps inside dome are 75-79 with RH staying steady above 90. I don't know what's causing the clones to bend and die, hopefully someone here could help me figure out this problem.

Attached are pics. Appreciate all the inputs from my fellow growing brethren.

They could be too warm, or too humid try lowering the humidity or heat a touch and see how they go on

I'm providing them with the perfect environment to root, the temps and humidity are in the sweet spot. However, I will take this into consideration and drop the heat a little (maybe low 70s?)

Thx bro.

Anyone else have an idea of what could be happening?
Are these symptoms of air pockets? I put them into water within a few seconds of cutting them off the mother...

How wet are those pellets/plugs?

Try pulling one of the clones and look what's going on inside the plug, did you use a rooting hormone?

I soak the cubes into 5.8 water with a dash of fulvic acid.
I then squish the cubes to let out most of the water as I know that too much water in the rooter plugs will slow down rooting... but I leave it wet enough so that they don't dry out quickly.
I then take 45 degree angle cuts off the mother and immediately put the cuttings into water.
After, I scrape the sides of the bottom of the stem and put it into clonex and then insert in the cubes. This isn't my first rodeo with clones, I've never had this issue before. Now I've had to dump half my clones away because they are all displaying this problem.

Seems to be the way I do it. Hmm I've had runs that don't work out, just try again if you can.

ive seen this before.. something was dirty. knife, hands ,cloning gel..i went from 95% to 20% using uncleaned tools and used gel.while smoking a blunt.. now treat it as a surgery and keep clean and sterile, and new gel with gloves. back to 95% in 5 days. hope this will help.
