New Beginnings for Massachussetts and I

All my autos are fem. From what I have read Collodial silver works on them too but it is best to plant many and use the two best.

I have 7 seeds, and I agree that's ideal, but I have to take a look at the process and see what makes sense. I'm sure I won't have a problem finding volunteers to determine which pheno is best :)

Thank you for paying attention. Anything else we should know on that front? (Also, would you think a building with three separate apartments and a shared basement count as "3 households"?)

Safest way would be to set up a grow tent in each unit. Most economical would be a common grow space in the basement. Not sure how you'd account for the common grow space, but I suppose you could partition it somehow to share utilities but still be segmented

I have only started studying growing since it became legal in mass so I am no expert but I have read some about feminizing seeds.

Since Collodial silver is toxic, you want to be very careful. The pollen is safe once harvested.

Once you start spraying silver, the safest bet would be to quarantine the plant. Once you harvest the pollen, discard the plant. You only need a small amount of pollen for the other female but you can store the left overs for a year.

Cloning Autos isn't useful ... the clone will be at whatever stage of development the mother was. That said, has anyone heard anything about treating one to get feminized seeds? That might be workable.

If it's feasible, I could donate a Dutch Passion Blackberry Kush Auto seed as a seed bank

subcool was talking about his attempts to "normalize" an auto by re-veg'ing it. He said it's frustrating but he is still trying. So maybe it's possible to reveg after a harvest and convert it back to a reg mother. Don't know.

I wonder what would happen if you bred one? Would the seeds still be auto's?

pretty cool graph i found over at dudegrows

Here's an interesting article and discussion from the sensi seed website on autos. You'll have to scroll down a bit for the cloning section

https://sensiseeds.com/en/blog/5-things-you-need-to-know-about-autoflowering-seeds/

Hang out in the auto section of RIU. There's a few guys there that have been working on their own strains for years. More info than a person can absorb in those threads. Basically, no one bothers with clones from autos (anywhere, I'm also on an autoflower only forum). Granted, those dudes have TONS of seeds, but, if the clone attempt doesn't make it to pollen, then what? It's worth a shot for science, but I think it's a waste of time.

When I decide I'm ready, I'll grow 2 plants in 1 gal bags started about 2- 3 weeks apart. Spray the 1st one, dust the second. When I do this, I want a ton of seeds and a bunch of pollen left over. :bigjoint:

Like I don't have enough new shit to keep me busy, I just found a bunch of things on micropropogation of cannabis regardless if it's auto or photo. Makes genetic duplicates at the cellular level so no clone issues. Why oh why do I look things up?

@Bountykiller420 Take the reflectors off until they get bigger. There's no canopy to penetrate so why create a central hot spot under each COB? I've already made that mistake :) With LEDs heat isn't really the issue .. it's light intensity. There may still be other issues but see if they respond and let them dry out a little before trying other remedies.
I just went through my first germination and seedling experience ... if you have a few minutes take a look at https://growdiaries.com/diaries/994-dinafem-blue-widow-1st-grow. I've been documenting things pretty thoroughly and you may find something useful there. I'm just finishing week 4 from the day the seeds went into the water glass.
Did what you said and raised the lights from 18" to 24", took center light reflector off also, i think i definitely am oversaturating them with light, 600+ppfd at 20 hours is 43+ DLI, thats a shit ton for these gals i think, i guess in a way im working backwards to find saturation point lol, now im at 500ppfd, thats 36 DLI, still may be a bit too much light, but im experimenting at this point also so next time ill have a better idea of what to do and what not to do, ill check em tomorrow but the ones on the sides are doin alot better than the center one in the back, and front and center doesnt look too bad for being the same height as the back one showing signs of problems , take some more pics tomorrow and see how they are holding up, make adjustments if i feel they are needed, keep you all posted

Also the red stems on the better looking one in the front, any idea whats going on there? deficiency, or is that normal, calmag maybe?

Do we want to try and mobilize the troops by calling our state Congress reps?
Yes!! Start with Senator Lewis(Winchester) He's the main one writing the change and put it in over 2 weeks ago- several other representitives have jumped on his bandwagon. Says it will be presented to the voters, but they will try to backdoor us. Speak up!!
And I totally missed the fact that Callme Mom's strain were auto's& yes, not functually clonable.
Also, glad to hear Lewis got shutdown on committee-he was trying to scrap commission and just have 5 people making his idea of committee.
Gonna go drain my 13 gal. res. & start flush(lug more water) and check my girls and fire up vape pen. Its a heaVY BURDEN WE BEAR lol
Don't know about link, but very up-to-date

Between Trump being crazy, NAZI Sessions(Little Big Man), and our own Senator, I'm set to be an outlaw all over again.

Your plants should be able to take up to 800 PPfD pretty well. Outright max is 1500 PPfD.

absolutely, the reason for posting that was for people to get a idea what they should be shooting for during the season, after all, we are trying to mimic that to a extent, my plants are a month old, ive been hitting them with 43+ DLI, thats more like june-july weather, too much judging by the graph plant would be, give or take, 2 months old getting hit with that much light, now if cannabis starts to taper off growth after 25-30 DLI in early veg the rest of the light is wasted or actually hurting the plants, meaning slower growth possibly and you pay more for electricity in the long run, running lights for longer than needed because your plant cant take in anymore photons after its reaches its saturation point, want to help save some people some cash if possible that could be having the same issues, just as a base to go by i guess

Wish I knew what my Amazon/eBay trash COB lights output was. It says it is 1200w equivalent but it is hard to believe. Not sure if I should turn 1/2 the lights off.

20170228_061208.jpg My white widow auto is on the right. One of my northern light is on the left. Still nitrogen starved but not as bad as her tall sisters in the hps tent.

But remember its the ppfd X day length you have to take into account 800ppfd at even 18hours light cycle is 51 DLI, think you may be referring to flowering PPFD? 800ppfd x 12 hours is 34 DLI, more like the numbers we are shooting for without co2 supplementing, and im by far no expert on this subject my man...still learning here.....but i am a sponge for knowledge

I hate when companies trick you with equivalent wattage, im guessing its a 600watt, post a link to the light and ill take a look at it, see if i cant help ya out witha few things
