Also. Crazy scary shit. So I went to Home Depot. Bought a 20a socket breaker 12-2 wire the whole kit and kaboodle. Cost me around 35$ to hook up another 20a run for my gardening room. Here's the results. If you are interested in doing so. Watch basic wiring skills.!!!!!!!!!! You are fucking with your box and your not an electrician you can one get really fucking hurt burn your house down and or kill everyone around you!!!!!!
Any questions. Hmu. I'll point in direction that if I can.
I'm in the same page as you.Need to add 20amp. and only have 1 spot in box-already have wire and outlets, just need to do it(and remember to turn off main breaker) Long run from box to back basement -just have to clean crazy junkpile to do so(bandsaw,table saw,computer junk: LOL the crap that accumulates over 12 years.Seedlings just popped for next grow- just waiting for first real leaves to put under CFL(gentle start-then LED.

I was going at half the mfg recommended dose, but then I realized my ultimate noob mistake. It's Grow Big, not Big Bloom. Stupid fuck up that explains a ton. This is why I didn't buy any fancy genetics yet. (;

I was a chemical engineer once. Material balances and solution concentrations kind of come back like bad dreams at times. Come to think of it, they were bad dreams even back then. ;)

Hey, they have to be tough to survive in my garden. I have the gardeners equivalent of two left feet and not a green digit in my body. I should have killed them off 5 or 6 times so far. Science comes easy to me, reality not so much.

Now I will be out of town on vacation for a week. Lets see how they handle that. :bigjoint:

You don't have to shut off entire breaker... Up to you though. But take out one of your breakers. Shut it off obviously. Then unscrew the black wire. Leave the white and ground alone. Plug the black wire that's just sitting out in open. Now bring that to homedepot or any appliance store to buy new breaker. Bring the one you have with you. There are so many variables in the breaker that have to match up to how it clicks in your box. Take a picture of the panel and info as well before you go. Buy a 1 pole 20a breaker. 12-2 gage wire. And 20a plug as well. Box that it goes in and front plate for the box. So nothing is exposed these are moist conditions we are putting plugs in. I went back and forth 3 times over the proper breaker. Because not everyone fits your box.

I wanted to do this but not going to until I buy my new house. Unless the new house has a 200amp main service then not needed. But to run a 50a sub panel into my room for grow then you can hook up AC if needed heater lights all kinds of shit. But not necessarily an issue in a condo that I own. It's not worth it to me for a 5x10' grows space. Next home will be different I'll have two full rooms to grow big mother fucking bushes in attic basement or hopefully many own garage then a greenhouse for summer time chillaxin. Hahaha. These are my goals and dreams won't be met for a couple years but always nice to plan ahead for ideas and needs not just wants.

Just put up a barn with 100 amp service and water/sewage. ;)

Pick the right town and you don't have to deal with mwra water.

All done with harvest and trim yielded 7.5 oz from my 3 little plants a little less then I thought but still not bad should have a steady suply till the next harvest all in all got 220g including a tester branch I took last week, so that's 0.4gpw not great in all reality but Getting a lighting upgrade soon looking forward to seeing if I can improve my efficiency next time round....✌

I noticed my lady has HUGE top leaves, and tons of little leaves underneath. Soooo....I started a little LST with her. I had a hard time figuring out how to do it with the fabric smart pot, but then found out how to use thin soft velcro pieces to stick onto the pot, and they are moveable day by day as I manipulate her. Hope I did it correctly. Poor baby~ my first grow and guinea pig.

Actually the X frame is for the Cree CXB 3590s, made it like that so i could adjust spacing of the cobs and test par measurements and keep equal distance from each cob without having to remake or tweak the frame, moved the spacing closer on the outer 4 lights twice,originally 16" on center and 14" on center, spread light better but i wasnt getting the ppfd i wanted they are now 12" on center, 16" on center outer edge spacing. just happened to work out that i could lean the other lights against it, its a super tight fit in the tent with all those lights only have a few inches on each side, everything is on adjustable pullies so i can raise and lower if needed, its pretty rigged not gonna lie, but shit... it seems to work, alot of weight on the ceiling cross bars now though, kinda scares me but a few zip ties and itll be good enough
