Transplanted yesterday, doing alright, little droopy but lights out in 10 minutes so no biggie, final pot, 5 gallon.... but more like 3.75, i up potted twice, next time might just do it once, kinda a pain in the ass and alot of work, but also it helps me not overwater too much so we will see, beginning week 6 veg, all different strains in there, i like variety, HSO- Black D.O.G., HSO- Lemon Kush Headband, Rare Dankness- Scott's OG, G13 Labs- Pineapple Express, G13 Labs- Gigabud, G13 Labs- Mozzarella, Barney's Farm- Sweet Tooth, 3 seeds didnt make it, few are a week or 2 behind so the flip will be interesting to say the least, i only have 1 tent atm and 1 light so lol, seedlings are finding a new home soon

Let's put way cheaper into perspective. For my puny 3x3 grow, it will probably take me 3 years to use a quart size set of nutes.

So maybe I can save 50% (of $50) and have enough salts for 10 years, but in the end it costs me more in time than it saves me in money.

Sure, if you are a production grower it makes sense, but it's not for everyone.

Just my perpsective. Ymwv.
That's a really good point. I was actually going to group purchase with some other growers, store at my house and give the other people more manageable sized bags.

I have a bag of perlite that will last me 100 years~would love to share it. (I went to a local hydro store and all they had was a bag almost as tall as me, OK...so I was desperate for perlite!)
When are we all going to get together? I'll be the blonde with the big bag of white stuff.

Holy moly, do these things GROW!!!

I wonder if anyone would have any ideas here, my one runt of the litter. She is a third the size of her siblings and always droopy. I noticed yesterday her bottom leaves starting to Yellow so I supplemented her with a little bit of nitrogen.
She gets the same nutes and same distance from the light as the other four.
Thank you20170307_202804.jpg 20170307_203017.jpg 20170307_202841.jpg 20170307_202825.jpg

She looks hungry to me but I'm no expert. Any chance the ph is off in that pot? She definitely want different treatment from the others.

My runt is now the tallest and fattest in my closet. Just sayin'. :bigjoint:

This will be a hard discussion to have, but you have to address this directly and immediately. Sit her down and ask her if she has a pot problem. Seriously, is she smoking her own stash? It's happened to lots of young girls, there is no shame.

She needs help. Counseling. Maybe a change of venue. Transplant her to a bigger place and give her a new spot to grow. Get her away from those frenemies that are twisting and depressing her.

Do it, before it's too late. Don't ask me how I know, I won't discuss it. :eyesmoke:

Sounds like a complex issue.

Sorry, couldn't help it. :bigjoint:

All from seed?

Btw nitrogen deficiency will show on new growth, not old growth.

Its possible your medium may be anaerobic or perhaps the roots arw having trouble developing

Yes all from seed, two of the plants are shooting up like rockets.

I thought nitro deficiency would be robbed from the bottom leaves to support the new growth.

Growing medium is canna coco fibers and i have been using canna a+b, rizo and boost per their web dosages. I used the same regiment for my hot peppers with great success.

If from seed you just got a phenotype that requires its own regiment. I would stop boosting nitrogen.

I am a newbie too....but if that were my baby, I would consider her a DIVA (thats bag seed, yes? OK maybe its a DUDE) that needed more attention than the others. I would repot and start from scratch. droopy=underwaterd & yellow= nutrient issue (I learned maybe not nutrient issue, but PH issue causing lockout) But of course, what the hell do I know, I ask more questions here than anyone.

Canna a+b as directed should have plenty of nutes for a plant that age. Though it looks like nitrogen deficiency, i would check pH first. Lockout often looks like deficiency. My girls got n deficiency in thier flowing stretch and it did start from the bottom up.

OK....pot was dry so I watered last night for first time with nutes. Sounds weird, but I was so scared I was shaking. Used 1/2 gallon water and 1/2tsp grow big PH'd to 6.6. (schedule says 3tsp per gallon, but I cut it by 1/3) She seemed to love it. Phew! Fingers crossed. Tracking shows my little Hubbabubbasmelloscope seed just got through customs. Cant wait! Just want to thank you all for being so kind to a nervous newbie :-)
