Well waited about 36 hours and 3 of the 5 went to bottom. I have then in a wet paper towel in a bag on cable box to keep warm. It's been about 24 hours in the bag how long does it take to get a root?
Can be in the first 12 hours, can take up to a week, took me 5 and a half days on my last seed that germed.

1000 ways to skin a cat .... A million to pop a seed ...

Here's a few :

1. Scuff seed - old match box with a small sheet of sandpaper inside . GENTLE shaking for a couple seconds . Plant as usual.

2. Rooter Plug : dampen plug , insert seed. Plant in container OR place into humidity dome in tray . Add heating pad .

Dome method works very well. Rock cubes can also work but PRESOAK cubes in 5.5 ph water girl at least an hour , shake excess and put seed in , place in tray. Throw a lamp on them for at least 18/6 or 24/0. Once you get initial stem growth , you can plant them and bury any stretched part of the growth.

3. Straight into pot : I usually soak seed for a few hours to hydrate it , then I poke a hole in soil center ( I use a premoistened container of soil ( spray bottle ) and plant. Let Mother Nature take over. Some place a sheet of cling wrap to help with humidity and warmth.

4. Zip bag : ....
Moisten paper towel or napkin
Place dampened paper towel .. Plain unscented , paper napkins can work too.
Into zip bag - snack size is perfect. Close bag and grab a bath towel and fold it like it is in storage , put bag or bags into middle. Let it be for a day or two .... Check bag for taproot.

There many many ways , all are pretty effective , older seeds will pop more frequently if hydrated first instead of direct planting.

I was trying to go for the easiest cheapest way possible as I don't have no plugs or heating mat and didn't want to go buy it all. However if I can get these going I'm going to dive into the seed world and get all the necessitate to do it. Thank you for taking the time out to share your method.

There is no real " right " way .... For me as long as seed is hydrated whether in a cup or in the dirt .... If it's viable , it will grow.

Is any way faster then another? That's what detours me from using seeds and has stopped me from using them since I started growing

They tend to move faster with dark , warm conditions .... So paper towel method between two plates ( to keep dark ) then set up in upper cabinet or on cable box for warmth. It's warmer at ceiling height - so an upper cabinet will work. I used two styrofoam plates and those work fine .... However paper towel will dry out quickly so check on it and mist to keep moist.

Or zip bag method , pops them pretty well too.

Yea I used the zip lock bag on top of a cable box for heat and I planted 3 today and still waiting on other 2 to pop to plant those.

If you get bored of waiting for them to pop (taking longer than a week) then pop em into soil, water and see how they go there. Happened to me this week with my last seed, took 10 days to germ.

I put the 3 into cups last night but left the other 2 in the paper towel still one had a tiny root popping out and other one still hasn't done anything if it goes a couple more days I'll try just putting it in a cup with soil

One of the seedlings are growing and has a set of leafs on it however the other 2 are still just a stem with part of the seed still on top. Will they make it?

For future reference, you can complicate seedlings as much as you want or keep it ridiculously simple. A healthy seed will root if you throw it on the ground and leave it, the plant knows what it's doing and you can spend all the extra $$$ on all the fancy equipment, or do like I do. Take a solo cup, poke holes in the bottom and sides, fill it with dirt (from a hydro shop...don't use home-cheapo dirt lest you want bugs), then plop in your seeds and give it some water and wait.

I did keep it simple I feel. All I did was put them in paper towel then put paper towel in bag once root popped out I planted in cup. 3 of the 5 rooted but now 1 looks like your picture posted but the other 2 are just a stem and have not grown any more then that.

1 of the Marion berry kush had 3 of the 5 had a root come out of seed. Planted them 3 and only this one started growing. The other 2 stayed just a stem for awhile so I threw them out.

That's a good friend. That pack will go for $50 all day long.

Those are regular seeds btw, so at some point in 45-60 days, you will need to separate the lads from the lasses, unless of course you want more seeds to keep growing with. ;)
