I got a pack of seeds yesterday from a buddy of mine. However I have never started a seed in my life only ever grew from clone. I need a little help on what to do to insure I get them up and going. It's 5 pack of tga genetics (forgot name but will look what strain it is). So my question is what would be the best way to start 5 regular seeds?

Put them in a seedling tray with a dome and heating pad. They’ll pop with a day or three. I use those 40 site burpee self water guys with the root riot cubes. Once they’ve popped remove the dome but leave the mat for another day or so then after that remove the mat an just watch for your roots to start to pop from the bottom then move whatever medium your growing in.

Ive always just got a cup of water, threw the seeds in there and let them sprout. Cant get much easier then that. (keeping them in a dark place)

I follow the same as Mr.me although i only leave them in the cup until theyve sunk to the bottom, then used the wet paper towel method until the tap root popped.

Well I don't want to have to go buy extra stuff for it so I'll put a couple in water and if they don't work I'll go with the heat mat and dome. Thank you guys for the help.

If u have an internet router or similar, they seem to put out just enough heat to make seeds happy. I do the drop in water for 24 hours or untill they sink then they go into damp paper towel , then in plastic bag, then onto a plate sitting on the router to keep warm. Then another plate or bowl or whatever covering to keep them in the dark. Good luck on the seed popping, it can get addicting :) ..

So after they sink you put them in a wet paper towel then do you put that in bag on the heat source?

Well waited about 36 hours and 3 of the 5 went to bottom. I have then in a wet paper towel in a bag on cable box to keep warm. It's been about 24 hours in the bag how long does it take to get a root?
