I wasn't going to journal this one and just show pictures at different times but .. ah well i'l update here everytime there is something to report

I'v mixed what looks to be a pretty decent and fairly cheap soil up with 50% potting soil 50% john innes no.2 (UK based) added plagron worm humus, fish blood and bonemeal, pinch of epsom salts and perlite at their desired rates...

shall be going with the afghan kush ryders again, x2, i just had a blue himalaya diesal grow up to be a man so i threw him away and started a new AKR bean, already had the 1st one up and going and is now a little over a week old..

They are now under 250w MH blub and will be switching to the HPS later on, i planted the new germed AKR today..

There should be enough food to see these girls thorugh to week 3 maybe 4, then i just feed bio bizz grow and bloom after that, as for now it's just PH'ed tap water at 6.5

also i'm experimenting with my new pot :bigjoint:my only slight worry is that she could go tall on me but there is always the option for a little LST if needs be. The one on the right with the new bean in.. think it's 15L the other on the left is a 20L

Thanks a lot budd and have a good one!

I go 19/5 with auto's from start to finish.. right in the middle of the 20/4 or 18/6 debate.

Interesting soil mix! Be careful not to burn them with that, sounds very rich in nutes ;-) have you used it before? I found the John Innes very good but i decided to change it for the biobizz lightmix this time so i could add nutes as and when, I hope it works out well for you, ur girls look really healthy :leaf:

Hi mate, this is the 1st time using the mix, i would love to use the bio bizz soil but i have no hydro shops wher i live and i ain't gonna be ordering 50L bags here lol
thought i'd try out a 50 50 mix of the john innes and some levingtons multi purpose which i'v used with half decent success in the past.

As far as the nutes in there go the fish blood and bone is more of a slow-release fert to my understanding, feeding N P K: 5 - 5 - 6.5 then the worm humus is full of organic content and trace elements, enzymes and minerals
The girl which is now heading on a couple weeks old looks great so if i can keep the nitrogen levels nice and high i'l be happy.

Now 2 weeks and 2 days for afghan #1 and looking great. She is due a water tomorrow so i'l throw in 1 ml of bio bizz grow to try and maintain the decent start and she can go through her stretch with plenty of nitrogen.
the baby is now 4 days i think and has a good look to her :leaf:

i have started putting the fan on to strenghten up the stems, it sits just in the corner of the tent where i leave the zip open a tad to allow the fan to throw in some cold air as the tent is in a cool place with plenty of air-flow. The temp in the tent is always a safe 21-23 degrees c.

Go go grow!
Going very light on the grow feed still, happy with the health but she won't be anywhere near as big as my previous AkR in the same pot, another showing of how the pheno's differ in the genetics of auto flower,
The picture of the big plant is the last grow at the very same stage 2.5 weeks old she was the quickest growing thing i have ever seen!
