New apical growth during flowering

Hey guys, first time grower here but educated in plant sciences.
My first grow has gone awesome!!
My set up is a 5 gal bucket DWC.
I am running the General Hydro flora series go pack and i cut all nute schedule in half.
I have two 300w LEDs

Like i said it has gone awesome up until now. I have 5 or 6 really strong colas that are behaving properly and bulking up, turning colors, producing that frost.
I have 4-5 colas that were doing great, but now have sprouted new top growth and growing new leaves out of the top of the buds. They have not gained mass since this started.
Im having trouble posting pics from my phone, i will later, does anyone know what this means?

I know its best to have LEDs off but this shows the stark color difference between the old and recent growth

Looks like it's starting to reveg.. Light leaks is what I'm thinking.

Do you use digital or analog timers? I find those cheap ones can gradually shift a few minutes after a few days.

Looks like it is. That plants revegging. I had it happen to me once. Timer got screwed up at week five of flower. Screwed up the run. It sucked. Check your timer. Good luck.

Only you can know for sure. I would suspect it though. Is it 100% darkness in the tent? No light leaks?

Check your timers come on and go off exactly when you want them too.

Even the smallest of light (depending on what spectrum) can mess up a plants night cycle.

It will figure it out but it isn't going to just switch back to budding mode immediately. It's going to take a couple weeks just like it does when you switch from veg to flower. Or maybe not. Mine were farther along into the reveg when it happened to me and I realized what was going on. I do remember that I wasn't happy with the results. You're not totally f'qd but obviously it would have been better if this hadn't happened. I feel your pain. Been there done that. At the minimum you've extended your harvest considerably.

Cool. Thanx for the info! Ive reset the timers and made sure light is as tight as i can.
