As far as my ex (3 yrs) she never gave it a chance and I've been smoking 13 years....I use it medicinally spiritually and recreationally so it stays

I'm looking for my eve...Im getting older ready to find the right one so I quit looking deleted all the dating apps etc
Girls or not. I'd fail that challenge. I'm definitely not winning any contests,

Sounds like you need a good hippie woman. You guys can talk about nuts and beans all night. Then wake up to some banana pancakes.

Thanks for the info. Never had Kapsalon but tried the mitraillette. Yes, I would like gyro meat and no bread instead. Wash it down with a beer with the round bottom glass holder. I like to travel. Brussels was fun. May even spend some time in Mons when I get the chance.
I know of it but never seen a mitraillette irl. Never ate fries on baquette, or any other bread I think. The name, “machine gun” makes me think of “patat oorlog”, fries war in english. Basically you got fries with mayo, which is called a patat met, means fries with. With what is implied (mayo). Add spicey ketchup and onions to mayo and you get fries special. Fries war with or without onions is mayo+ hot peanut sauce (satay sauce without ketjap), called that cause it’s a mess of sauces we’d priorly normally not combine. Some added back the ketchup too and sold it as “fries world war” but that never caught on as much.

Every now and then a public debate starts about renaming it to something more peaceful. Like now with the war in Ukraine. “Fries peace“ has been tried but just doesn’t sound as tasty.

You mean this beer?

The handle allowed coachman to grab a beer without stepping down the carriage. DUI was totally normal back in the day.

It’s kinda meant to do the other way around though. First you get drunk, show your moves in the club, get really drunk, then after go to a snackbar (for fries, kroket etc) or shawarma/ doner kebab shop. That’s why they are everywhere and open till late. High carb greasy food equals less hangover, or so the story goes.

Yes I will intentionally mix mayo with ketchup and dip my fries...I believe the French started the whole mayo on your fries thing
Considering the french invented fries and mayo that would make sense :) Actually there's some debate. Belgium claim fries are from the french speaking part of Belgium but the story they made up suggests they had fries before they actually had potatoes or something like that. The Spanish claim the French stole the recipe for mayo from the Spanish.

We had friends come over from the US roughly 22 years ago, rented a place together in Amsterdam. After a long night of drinking and barely any sleep, we stumbled into the kitchen to make breakfast. We watched the girl put mayo on a sandwich and we looked at each other and wondered "does she know that's not the butter but the mayo?". I heard they put it on pizza in Japan.

Certainly not the healthiest choice but it is one of the beers that night. 50 different beers on the board sounded like a challenge. Delirium was a seasonal beer in stemware that was twisted.

Love the back stories of local food. Thanks for sharing.

Mayo and fries are good tho have you tried it before ? It's gotta be the right mayo some taste different than others

Mayo on sandwiches is pretty common...or did you mean mayo on toast ? If it was toast then I see your concern lol

mayo on chicken biscuits is good too
