New 400w hps light need instructions

I know you must be laughing but plz hold a few of your giggles till after ....
I bought a 400w hps and when i plug into the timer to turn it on it didnt so then i flicked the on off switch back off and then on again and it worked why is this?? If it cant turn on when the timer turns it on my babies will be left in the dark all day...and i dont think my plants need to take a 24 hour vacation.

please help this light really needs to work . maybe theres just some newbie hps knowledge i should know before i totally freak out and smoke another bowl thanks...

You probably have the on/off cycle backwards. Fast forward your timer by 12 hours....

its a regular 3pin timer ....is that true i have timer backwards? im in pm and so is timer?

just play with it a bit, Im sure you will figure it out. Mine was a lil tricky for me the first time I fucked with it... Of course i was really high also...

hellz yea !! ne wayz yea well it turns on when u turn it off once and back on so im thinking puting 3 pins to get it going and just one to turn it off at night since im in the 18/6 , and how far you think i should put them from my plants. i have 5 so far 2 are like about 14-16in tall of bagseed, 1 is Big bud about 3 in big, 1 is a free seed that came with Bigbud and that one is like 6 in , and then i have a tiny like about a half inch Royal Orange Bud seedling so whats a good height without burning them and giving them maximum lighting?

really need to post pics to be able help us help you... I understand sometimes not possible but if ya can, get those up and lets see what ya go going on.. if I cant help ya someone here at riu will! that I guarantee.
