Well I first noticed this strange growth last batch on one plant. I ended up just cutting the plant down. It seems to be noticeable around week 2 of flower. You will notice the buds just look dried up and the white hairs are brown and just very strange growth. Like I said I've never seen anything like this before. Somthing else that's strange is I haven't changed anything I do. Also it's on multiple strains and I've even given a few plants to a buddy and them few plants seem to show these same types of growth. It's mostly on the lower portions of the plants the top buds seem healthy and normal for week 3. I just went through and cut off everything that looks abnormal. My temps are 76° day and 68° night. RH around 45-60. I have a few fans moving for air movement. Plenty of fresh air coming in. There are 20 plants under 5 1000s. Strains seem to not matter considering it's multiple strains.

It almost seems like a virus or somthing that's attacking them? I have done plenty of research with nothing popping up that looks similar. I have a few pics also. Please let me know what you guys think. Like I said I'm 20 days into flower. Thank you.

What are canopy temps? That's a lot of light. Is the damage on all buds or mostly those at the top?

I see signs of heat stress. I would back off on the lights and get air moving. A lot of it too.

Well I have the lights turned down to 75% and my canopy temp is around 78ish. All the buds at the top look nice. Only the buds on the bottom half look this way and not all of them. Some plants are worse then others also.

From the leaves I see in the pics it looks like a bad spider mite infestation. I have had many a battle with those lil fuckers. If it is that, and your 20 days in flower take them outside and spray the shit out of them from the undersides with the hose that will knock a good majority of them off. It's worked for me with mites up budding plants in the past well.:peace:

There is definitely no spider mites. I've had them little basturds before and know what they look like.

Looks like russet mites to me. Russet mites are much smaller than spider mites. You need a 14 x scope to see them in the beginning of the infestation. It usually presents at the bottom of the plant and moves upwards as the mite population grows. It begins with yellowing leaves (chlorosis) and leaf curl ("taco-ing"), which is often mistaken for a nutrient or water deficiency.

Some pics of mite damage.

Well after further research this is exactly what it is. Damn. I used my little microscope and sure as shit there they are. I ordered some stuff I read works called "NukeEm" and it will be here Tuesday. In the mean time I blasted everything with Spinosad "Monterey bug spray " in hopes it may slow them till tuesday. At this point I would just like to finish this grow and clean up super well without it being a total loss. I did remove all the effected growth. I'll attach a few pics. Today is the end of week three. They don't seem to look to bad except now I know what's wrong. I'll keep this thread going and hopefully I can beat them.

I'll attach a few pics also of how the plants look now after the defoliation. Pardon the orange lights.

Well that was a pain in the ass. I went through and thurolly sprayed all 20 plants. It took me 4 hours. Also I did it 2 times like the instructions said. Do it once then give it half an hour to dry then do it again. I'll wait 3 days and do it 2 more times.

Just went thru this shit in the flower room.

The plants recovered and are stacking well but there are no terps.

Sucks.
