Hey if you can sleep at night and not worried about it keep going till you end up in jail. The whole world already knows you're growing now just wait till somebody wants a deal with the po.
What's more expensive to you? A year in jail or relocation to a place where you can get cultivation permits?

I think you are potentially causing harm to the legalization movement by growing illegally. I go as far as to suggest that you are helping the prohibitionists by continuing to live in a place where you can't get at least some legal right to cultivate. Yeah, maybe you will say that's not a choice, but I'd be putting every resource into getting out of there -- or at the very least, getting out of the shared living space, and not just because of weed or whatever.

As for the smell. Even with a legal grow in a detached single-family home in a neighborhood with very little foot traffic, and did I mention a grow that I have a license for, even then, I'm worried enough about the smell during flowering that I go to some pretty long lengths to keep it private. I can't imagine doing an illegal grow, just because it's so incredibly difficult to keep the smell contained. Worse, you get very used to it, and what you won't notice after a few weeks, is blindingly obvious to others who are not desensitized.
Get real I don't care if you are legal and looking down on people that grow a plant for there own use. He is growing in an apartment What makes you holly and great I know you grow to get stoned and that medical bullshit is just an avenue and does'nt make you better than anybody else.

We all grow because we disagree with the laws concerning cannabis. Nobody here wants to keep weed illegal, and breaking the law or not, the op is just doing his part to keep the plant alive. Next time you feel superior because you arbitrarily happen to live in an area where it's tolerated (u.s.a. Is illegal nation wide), think of all the people it took to get there, ya jackass.

I don't think he is hurting an form of legalization. If anything he is proving the need for it. If he is willing to risk his life and liberty just so he can grow a plant then there is something wrong with the system not him. He is however adding unneeded risk by continuing an illegal operation which is known by his neighbors and complete strangers. Depending upon where you live j would either be worried of being busted or becoming the victim of a burglary or home invasion. And if either of the latter occur you have no recourse to catch who did it or prevent them from coming back. The only option here is to move.

I would cut my loses and start up in a mote secure place When I could afford it. You and your permits don`t mean shit to most of us. Also when the MJ movement started like back in the 60s the brothers and sisters did time in jail to give you the chance to grow almost legally so show a little more compassionateness no pun intended to people that still fight the fight.

I'm lucky to live in a medical state, and I have paperwork to grow, but I still think that everyone who can should grow -- legal or not. IMO, the medical movement is what's hurting the medical movement most of all right now.

Personally I think you are out of your mind if you continue to grow in that situation. If I were in that situation, the plants would be gone the next day by either moving them or cutting them down. If you are foolish enough to continue you need to get a large carbon filter, install it and then stick your nose directly in front of the vent at least 6-8 times a day (plants will smell more or less throughout the day so you need to monitor, also check after you water or if you spay water) to make sure there is NO smell whatsoever. If there is ANY smell at all after that you will need to buy an inline ozone generator (like Big Blue) and add that in addition to your carbon filter. A 1/2" carbon screen isnt going to make zero smell, dryer sheets arent going to make zero smell, they will help but they arent going to get you zero smell, which is what you need now that someone KNOWS you are growing. I am a legal medical grower and would be extremely pissed if I could smell anything outside the grow, I would spare no expense whatsoever, even though what I am doing is legal (at a state level) its insane to broadcast what you are doing to the general public. My advice is to move it or cut it. If you are going to try to fix it, you cant 1/2 ass it at this point(which is what dryer sheets or small carbon prefilters are). In the future, dont grow without proper odor control, you got extremely lucky.

If I were you I would shut down ASAP. I would be very paranoid at this point. Some one else may have turned you in in the building and the law are getting ready to boot in your door.

Good job getting them to a new home man. Glad to hear you didn't have to chop them down. Next time you see your neighbor be sure to tell her you got rid of it and thank her for being so courteous about it. She may have saved your ass.

Well if you are bothering people enough for them to come complain then...I would say you have an issue...I can't imagine trying to grow in an apartment...or even a place that is rented...anywhere where someone else can decide at their leisure to come snooping in my place ya know...But in my house prior to getting a carbon filter the only time I could ever smell any smell was when the heat or air would kick on and I guess blow the smell all over the house or something...like right as the air kicks on you would smell a strong whiff of weed, like when you first open a tent in the morning...weedy blast o' air...anyway so I got a scrubber that I put in my flower tent, and now it doesn't do the blast of smell when the air or heat kicks on...Try planting some other smelly plants...lavender, catnip, marigolds, hell even tomatoes can outstink weed...but some sort of plant in every window and light space you have...that way if anyone ever wonders what they smell and why your place smells so plant like...as soon as you open the door, they will know why your place smells that way...what with all the marigolds lavender and catnip about...catnip effing reeks...and any other plants in the mint species...there are all kinds of things you can have to explain away and help with the smell...I got a carbon scrubber and planted a jungle of other plants...ya know what the worst part is? since the weed smell is a smell you quickly get used to it...so everyone is always just hoping their grow doesn't smell like one...You just found out that yours does...

And for real she came to you to fix it first...so get it right so she doesn't have to smell it or her next move might be to let someone know...I would buy her an apology gift...the most expensive one I could manage...as soon as you have enough money to get a good gift, after having enough money to get a proper smell killer...incense and car trees will not cut it...Carbon scrubber, and stinkier legal plants to mask the smell...there are numerous plants growing outside right now that have the same smell as pot...and as long as you are surrounded by them nobody ever has to wonder if they smell weed...because they obviously smell your other array of plants...it is too late to fool this woman...but if she tells someone else and they come to check and the next person through your door sees a large garden of catnip...they will go tell that lady she is silly that it smells like weed cuz of all the nip...lol. so fix the smell and get an excuse to blame the smell on...

Well you got rid of them...so now start your excuse plants...also you can top and train catnip...and it is lots of fun...maybe even as much fun if you have a cat. Because I have a cat and he goes silly for some fresh off the bush catnip...and again nobody will wonder if they smelled pot...they will think it is those other plants, and they clean your air for you as well....and you will get used to the smell, but beware...smelly...but legal---so----
