Negative ion generator - how good?

I've read about negative ion generator as odor control hardware, are they any good? Can they purify the air to remove odors for an average sized closet?

maybe... but it would have to be a shitload of ions, so the question is how much$$$ do u wanna shell out? When instead u could go to home depot and get citris magic odor absorber

I use a ozone generator and there is nothing better. Havent had a smell at all

This will not work for a closet during flowering. Ozone gen's work great but could be a serious safety issue in a closet grow. I rock the carbon scrubber and cannot complain. Worst case scenario you do the scrubber and some ONA and it is golden. Just my 2cents, i'm no expert.
