Neem oil on the buds.

It was my first grow and I saw what I thought was white powder mildew all over my plants. Soo, Like a dumbass, I sprayed them with neem oil and some lemon/ water mixture, and some vinegar/ water mixture, and some potassium carbonate. Sprayed them every time they started looking spotted again. Now they have a funky smell after drying and about 2 weeks into curing, some are smelling better than others as I harvested in peices. Next thing Im wondering is if they don't cure out and the odor stays is it safe to make cbn butter with them? Any suggestions will help.

...and be careful who you share your weed with because weed that has neem oil in it/on it, and is consumed, can actually cause some pepole to stoke, and have seizures!

Neem is gross. I don’t know why people use it with so many other options both organic and not.
It’s fine to use on ornamentals, or plants you can wash before consuming.
Never on cannabis buds.
I know you’re looking for a fix but I don’t know that there is one.
Maybe someone will step in and teach us all something.

The Azadirachtin in neem oil is what is suspected of causing severe reactions in some people. Other people can ingest it and suffer no ill effects.

Neem should only be used in veg. And yes it is gross and stinky. I have started using sesame oil instead but not in flower of course. Sesame oil is the active ingredient in several organic pesticides, is cheaper than neem, and can be purchased at any grocery store. I also always have it on hand as I do a lot of Asian cooking so I no longer purchase neem oil. I'm all for not buying something if I don't have to. I've found sesame oil to be very effective. Sesame oil is also Bee safe and is the active ingredient in Organicides Bee Safe 3 in 1 product. I use it outdoors in the garden in a spray I mix up with other Bee safe ingredients.

No oil based product should ever be used on flowering plants. Any residue from the other stuff the OP used can be rinsed off with a bud wash but the neem is not rinsing away.

I took clones from these pants before I had the neem oil problem. I just harvested them a little early because they hermed out on me. They were never sprayed with anything and im being the same odor from these buds as the neem oil sprayed plants. Wtf?
