Needing help with flushing...

Ok I have been growing my first batch ever and it so happens to be bubblelicious from nirvana and I have failed to flush properly its been 8 days and what I have been doing is feeding it just water but only a gallon of distilled water on a 3 gallon pot it ran through but not a whole lot I got like a quart back out of a gallon,I really wanted to cut my buds as soon as the hairs turned half white and half amber wich its already there except for the very top of the plant its about 40% there, anyways I really need to cut in 4 days I am afraid waiting any longer will couse lost of potency so what do you guys recomend I do the only nute I have used is nirvana wich contains earthworm castings,humus,seaweed extract and alfalfa meal.Please if anyone has a sugestion I would love to hear it,THANX AND HERE ARE SOME PICS OF MY BABY GIRL...O and last time I gave her a gallon of water was 2 days ago and its still a little moist... **********:blsmoke:KEEP SMOKING MY FREINDS:joint:***********

Well if you have not checked the trics i would suggest getting yourself a 60-100x microscope lighted is the best then check the trics the hairs are only a sign things are getting close the trics tell you more when to chop then anything else. Also flushing is for when or if you over nute or to fix a problem in the soil unless using heavy duty chemicals in your grow there is NO need for a flush. People who have any experience in growing good weed will tell you to back off the nutrients the last week to two weeks trying to end up feeding her what you did at the start of flower at the end so not much at all, then they last feeding/watering should be plain distilled water. Its the cure that releases mag and other nutrients that cause your buds to be harsh and crackle when lit. Also feeding your plant through out its entire life will give you fatter buds and heavier resin production. Look at whats in flushing aggents water and suguar just another way for them to get money out of you i ust to flush too but the last year i have not flushed a single bit followed what i just told you my colas are twice as big and frostier. My plants never get yellow stay green till chop.

FYI the last few weeks is when they build weight and their frost flushing gives them lock out and causes the yellowing and your nuggets to be smaller and less frosty. Flushing belongs back in the 70's when they thought cutting off fan leafs and LST was bad for your plant.

Hairs half amber? You want the capitate resin glands to be half amber if anything. your plant looks ok, it looks like its hurtin for light and nutrients. What you want to do is find out how many Amsterdam grow houses flush their plants,... uh zero. Not to many farmers flush their veg crops before they go to market, same with tobacco growers. But superstitions and myths die hard.

You should not base your harvest date off of your hair colors due to that is not accurate as getting a 30-100x magnifier and looking at individual crystals/trichome to see if your THC is turning a milk-white/amber. Distilled water? are you suggesting you purchased water and used it? if so you should really look to getting a Ph down solution so you could give your plants between a 6.0-6.5 range, you claim to have messed up on your flush and i am wondering how you did this, did you not use a flushing agent to help break down salts or is your soil becoming waterlogged and retaining to much? For the most part if you gave your plants water atleast the last 3-5 days you should be alright with a flush.

Suggestions for next grow:

Look into things such as a nutrient line (there are various brand that are organic and or chemicals)

So what u suggest is that I keep using my nutrients, dont flush and from another thing I have read on here is to keep my Ph balance between 6 - 6.5? My Ph balance is 7.5 so just to be clear, the crystals are what supposed to be milky white or light amber before chopping. From what I heard it is ok for the ph balance to be between 6 to 8 and another thing i heard is theat my leaves are turning yellow and dying off because it is getting close to harvesting and it is using the leaves for the last of the nutrients, so all that I read and researched from farmer cannabis farmers was pretty much crap?:?:?:?:cry:

If you let your ph drift to 8, you are in for some deficiencies,. There are quite a few ph charts online, look at more than one, but a good all around rule in soil is to stay between 6 and 6.5. And yes, as your plant reaches final maturity, the leaves will get shitty and yellow, but i've never seen a plant go yellow without complete pistil redaction first, or without there being a light or nutrient issue.

for a first batch i gota give it to you its a fine example nice creamy nugs and nice colours so well done dude what was your setup i new round here just finished my last smoke so going to start a journal this time anyway congrats
