Need to test CBD, would this method work or are there any issues you can think of?

Hi guys, so I want to test my CBD oil potency with the tCheck2 device I have, now the issue I have is that when I test oil it only gives THC potency but Tinctures it gives both, what im thinking is
1) Make a CBD Tincture
2) Test CBD Tincture
3) Transfer the Tincture into oil
4) Put the mix through a distilling machine I have to extract the alcohol so the Oil and CBD get left behind
5) Mix, now I have the CBD that is tested inside the oil instead of tincure

Am I being stupid or would this work?

How about make a tincture with a measured amount of THC and CBD, test it. With the test measurement take a ratio (up or down) of the amount you want to use as compared to the test sample?

Honestly, I don't know if you can do it or not. It's just that I also used to think about how to implement this idea, but I never got anything done, or my hands are out of the same place, or something else. But I just don't sweat it and buy oils or CBD chewy candy. I love it, especially the chewy candy.

I wouldn't trust the accuracy of that device to begin with. I also wouldn't install the App on my phone. Did you read the permissions you gave it when you installed it? Why does it need your GPS location? There is absolutely no reason for that App to access your GPS location. None. Zero.

I'm in a legal state and I would never agree to share the information they're gathering.

From the Google Play Store:

This app has access to

Location
  • precise location (GPS and network-based)
  • approximate location (network-based)

According to their privacy policy on their website:

"Information Received from Your Use of Our Services"

EMT device information

Your device, app, and web site, collects data, including but not limited to, device serial number (ID), raw sensor measurement information, calculated results, device health, battery levels, temperature, time, date, location, OS, software/firmware version, and other metadata. The data collected varies depending on device or service you use. Location may be obtained directly through GPS, Wifi, cell towers, other device sensors, or derived from IP address. When your device synchronizes with EMT servers, data recorded on your device is transferred from your device to the EMT servers.

EMT may preserve or disclose information about you to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to assert legal rights or defend against legal claims; or to prevent, detect, or investigate illegal activity,

You're giving up all that information just to use some scammy pocket THC/CBD tester that isn't even accurate if it works at all.
