Hi ya all! Need help in evaluating my late stage flowering ladies. Pics shows the following:
1. yellowing/dying of leaves (fan mostly). Is this normal when nearing harvest?

2. yellowing of leaves and some kind of powdery mildew. But these dust like thing is spread evenly on the fan and smaller leaves and cannot be remove by scratching. Not sure if its really PM. Anyway treating it with hydrogen peroxide.

3. the calyxes on the next pick seems to increase in size but loosely. Is this abnormal?

4. Trichomes are about 100% milky. should I wait to turn amber? how long? should I start flushing?

Anny comments and suggestions is very much appreciated. BTW tis is my first outdoor grow on 5 gallon buckets (coco coir dust, perlite, charcoal rice hull)
Thanks and more power.

That's a nice looking sativa you got there. You'll almost always start losing fan leaves late in flowering. But, that is a bit more yellow than I'd like to see at that point since it looks like that plant has a few more weeks to go yet. Have you been feeding it heavy? That first pic looks like there is some nute burn. What strain?

It's a very nice looking plant and isn't going to fall over dead on you or anything so I recommend not doing anything drastic.

Another problem, the following batches of 4 month old clones from the following pics appears to show powdery mildew appearance but the thing is there are no "powder". Leaves turning yellow to almost white. Attempted to scratch or wipe it but it won't. The leaves are like dry but not when you crumple it. Is it powdery mildew , mineral difficiency, or something else? Will it survive? Death penalty? Here are some of the pics:

Yellowing of fan leaves almost white powdery appearance. Plants/buds seems to be still doing well but fan leaves are starting to fall down

Sooner or later fan leaves will turn to yello/white

may want to clean up the grow room after this batch and start some from seed .
Actually these are outside grows. Got info from an agri guys that exposure to the sun kills powdery mildew so maybe it's something else. However he warned me about aphids because of the sunny and very humid weather.

looks like it could be spider mites.. better start checking the undersides of leaves
Probably your right. There seems to be an activity underneath the leaves. Anyway I sprayed pesticide with foliar bloom booster. For three days it seems the leaves are holding up. I guess 4 weeks to harvest time is safe enough.
thanks Beast!

I am Having the same problem. I have a powdery mildew also and plants are yellowing. I finnally have all my fans running which seems to help. Could not run them in the winter, to cold. I do have a white fly problem though. No spider mites. It also looks like your plants are in to small of containers by the tips of the leaves. But if they are in 5 gallon buckets they should be fine. Unless 6 feet tall. Lol. Maybe we got the same strain. Kinda looks like. My Indicas do not have this problem ? Well Good Luck.
