Need some insight.

Hey guys!

Now, I have this problem and I didn't want to turn this thread into another "is she ready" one.

The whole point of me writing this, is that I would like to know your opinions on what I should do with my plant up until harvest.

General problem: I really believe the buds to be too small for such an age. It's my first time doing DWC, so naturally I managed to make a lot of mistakes (problem with deficiencies, slow growth, not using RO water etc.) you know, the general noobish ones.

The plant itself is on day 53 from seeing the first pistils, and I think they started popping right around day 12 of flower. I know you should take the breeders flowering time (55-60 days) with a grain of salt, but generally they are good guidelines to follow.

Plant backrgroud; Blue Kush that I vegged for two months (because for one month it grew fuck all), never had a problem with humidity, right now it's around 60%. Temperatures are a little bit too high, I fried her a few weeks ago with a week of 30C canopy temperatures, which caused the leaves to curl in and the pistils to turn brown. I also took a little bit to much fan leaves off of her during early flowering, but I will NOT be making that mistake in the future.

For a moment I thought she had pollinated herself, but after thorough searching I concluded that she is still in fact a lady (no nanners).

She was also suffering from a cal/mag deficiency a week ago.

So is there anything you guys think I should address while I wait for the buds to start fattening out- IF they start swelling? I haven't noticed any sort of growth for the last three weeks, so I'm starting to become a little worried.

Thank you all for your help, this really wasn't a good run. In all honesty I'm not surprised she's like this, I really fucked up.

It's hard to tell with the camera, but some of those lower buds look like they're already past senescence. If that's the case, they're just going to rot and the trichs will fall off. Are the calyxes turning white, or is that just frost?

Calyxes as in the female parts? I've noticed a few of then turning white from the frost. Apart from that the trichomes are somewhat milky, it's hard to tell with my rubbish scope, so I'll have to buy a USB type and then double check. I haven't seen any amber heads though. The pistils themselves are brown everywhere, I suspect that was because I fried the plant for a week or so, but I have ruled out pollination. I just can't see any bananas anywhere.

EDIT: Shit, I just started inspecting the buds underneath the top most ones, and I've noticed these stripes of amber trichomes. They're visable with the naked eye. Looks like it might indeed be a time to chop...

Maybe it might be a good idea to take the top most buds and just leave the bottom ones a bit longer, granted there are no amber stripes.

Damn, 5 days? I think Im somewhere at week 10. I think I might as well chop the tops off, I dont want them to rot away or turn into a sleeping pill with all those amber trichs.

Ah damn, if I were to count the days from the emerging of the first pistils I'm right at day 59... so maybe I'll wait another week, the Blue Kush has a 60 day flowering time.

Also some of the leaves started turning pruple, so maybe this is a good sign that the end is nigh.

Update, but nothing much is happening. The buds seems all right, no mold or anything like that. Just hit the 9week mark of actual flowering(I think I saw the first pistils two weeks after the flip).

The calyxes on the buds are indeed swollen, like peas.

look like u got some great genetics there @Gregor Eisenhorn but they are only going to grow bigger, and they look cramped for space already. id say at least 2 weeks
Cheers mate, it does look like it could take a bit more time, but I'm just panicking as I don't want the buds to be over ripe. There a some amber trichs popping up here and there, and I don't want a sleeping aid if you know what I mean.

I'll just wait a bit longer, hopefully two more weeks like you said.

Hey guys, is it possible that some buds just won't plump? All I can say is, is that the calyxes themselves are pretty fat, they look like they'e been seeded (but they have not), but the overall bud structure isn't "fat" if you get what I'm saying.
