Need some help.

How long can i veg a clone without having it grow big. i want it to stay small. I basically want to keep my strain alive without having the huge moms i have now. what light would i need? all i have is one flouro tube and the rest are HID.

Not sure if i make sense right now.

You should check out LSTing, I haven't tried it, but it seems like it would be suitable

Basically, just top it so it grows out wider or tie the top down.

Bonsai Mother! Study LST and topping to control the size of the mom. You can grow it slow using flouro tubes or CFLs.

Ok I'll look into it. I think I just use flouros. It feels like a waste to just keep trimming my moms and tossing it.

On the note of Bonsai, read up on root trimming. Typically Bonsai involves growing in a small tray, often off center. For instance, grow the plant on the right of the tray. Then when the roots stretch to the left side, remove the whole block of dirt and plant. Chop off the left half of the dirt, put it back in the tray to the right, and put fresh dirt on the left. Control the roots and you should be able to control the size.
