They are going into the 4th week of flowering. My nute brand is FF Big Bloom/Grow Big and a GH Flora Blend Vegan Compost Tea. I add only about 5tbs each of the Big Bloom and FloraBlend and 4tsp of grow big every sunday night with the res change. They are in a 10gl tub. The water level is about 1 inch under the pots. I really haven't increased the nutes for a few weeks now. Do you think I should?? I have to top the water off every other day it seems. The ph is steady at 5.8-6.0. The set up lighting is 3- 6500k's, 2- 2700k's and one 70w HPS.

What do you think?

Do you have a PPM/ec pen to check the actual levels of food in your water?
If so that would be able to tell me how much food your plants eat throughout the week...

since Im assuming that you do not offhand I can ask you another question to get me a little bit of those same bits of info, but I wont be able to tell you specifically how much you want to increase food...

How does your Ph act when you are having to top off the res a lot(drop or skyrocket up?) and what are you keeping ph @?

another thing I will mention is that Fox farms nutes arent really soluble enough for working in hydro systems well and they are formulated for tomatoes to begin with so they leave plants with lots of issues... as well as the ph to them stays whacky as fuck. LOL

Im not sure what the issues are but I think your plant should deffinatly be father along in bud production in an aero tub.
This is a Vintage haze plant that I have that is 4 weeks along into flowering in some crappy soil (all I had @ the time) Working with hydro you should have a bigger plant than mine right now since Im in soil... The bagseed genes may be part of the issue but I think a lot more is @ hand...

may need to go get a buddy of mine and have him stop in for a visit....

It would be much appreciated if you could get anyone to stop by and offer help!!

My ph is at a steady 5.8-6.0. When I do top off, it usually goes up to 6.0. It really doesn't go passed 6.5 when topping. Only rarely. Now when I change the res and add the nutes, It gets in the 7's. I ph it for the next day or so and its fine.
I have seen grows with ff nutes and they come out wonderful.. Do you think the nutes may be the problem to my slow growth?

I dont think the FF nutes are your issues...rather not that much anyways, people use them with better results than MG..

I think Ph is your issue babe. More likely caused by your nutes.
Ph controlls which and how much nutes are absorbed by your plants.

Ill pm my friend now and see if he dosent mind stopping in by your grow. He may not reply directlly as I dont know if he has a handle here or not but if he sees anything to help then he can pm me and Ill copy it here for you...
Hes something of a hydro whiz IMO and usually is able to help me with isses that I have when I choose to do the occasional hydro grow.

pirate did you force flower your plants babe?
And are you counting the days of flowering from switching to 12/12 if you are force flowering?

My immediate thoughts are that I may have not read far enough back to see this and that your forcing them and counting from days you flipped lights where as you should count flowering in that situation as the first day that pistils appear...

can't see anything wrong with the plants... although a 5.5-5.6 pH is better, imo.

leaves not receiving any or very little light will always die off.

always increase ppm's... at least once a week. aim for a 2000ppm peak.

ah well try to do it by 1/5 of what you are using now and see if they burn If they dont continue adding it by that amount... or push them into a slight burn in a short time and then back off by a little to where they are ok and see how much you changed the food by and increase by that amount each time.
I did this in soil before I got a ppm meter and it worked relatively well, I havent noticed a lot of change since I got my meter this grow so I couldent have been getting half bad results that way...

If you force flower a plant you shouldent count flowering time by the day you flip lights But rather the day that they show you pistils/hairs.

Plants will also show their sex in veg by the form of preflowers if you leave them there long enough. Fastest way they do this is on a 24/0 light cycle and when this happens they are reffered to as being mature plants @ that time. Plants generally dont yield as much if they are flowered before they are mature as well but can be a considerable amount, depending on when they actually start flowering and how big they are @ that time.

ha ha Im glad we figured that out....I would have been kind of sad for you if your plants were really into flowering 4 weeks and were that short on buddage. LOL
That is going to be one tall girl when done in flower I think chicka...How tall is she in inches now and can you take a pic of her from above with a 2 liter bottle or something common for a width idea...

If she is 12 inches tall or better I dont think youll have enough light for her without a 200watt hps or so...Also I only saw the sativa looking gal, how big is her sis?
