I have 2 northern light automatic from royal queen seed bank, in 2.5 gallon pots, under (4) 42watt and (6) 23watt soft white cfl's, inside a 32inch box lined with foil (box is inside a unventable closet) With a 42inch tower oscilating fan on low 24/7. They are about 2 weeks into flowering and about 15inches tall, do to the Lst I did to them. The problem started about 9 days ago. One plant has burn spots on the leaves and tips, also it is a pale green almost a slight yellow color that has started from the top of the plant and has been working it's way down the plant. The other one has the same burn spots on the leaves, but is still green, for now. I did flush the plants with last night with 8 gal of well water that I had in jugs n left the caps off 24 hours, I don't have a ph tester for the water and can't find one around at walmart or menards (only places around here) also gave them a boost pac 20-20-20 to help stablize the soil, with a dose of soil amp. I don't know what my soil ph was before I flushed them. But this morning when I checked the ph of the soil it was reading at 5.3 at about 2inches from bottom of the pot. So went out and got some fast acting lime, but it's grainy, not powdery. Does it make a difference? How do I use the lime to raise the soil ph up to like 6.5, the fastest yet safest for the plants? Will that solve my plant problem? Sorry can't post pics cause camera on my phone is broke.
