Hey bro have you got any camg yet to mix with your RO? I use the whole line of fox farm nutes BUT to make my RO in to water for the girls I use camg+ from general organics. I got it at the hydro store for about 15 bucks here. Whats wrong with your tap water? mine comes out at almost 300ppm so what I do is mix 50/50 with RO then its about 150ppm and that is where you should start at. My girls are taller than me and im 6' so I dont believe they mind the tap water. The clorine pretty much evaporates off not long after it comes out the tap. A friend who taught me about growing, he explained this to me. I use to add camg+ to my RO all the time but the RO gets expensive when all your plants are in 5 gallon buckets...lol. You can go either way here. If there is no prob that you know of with you tap water then I would totally try it. It will save you money in the long run on RO and buying camg to add to it.
I think you should just mix some RO and tap water....go about 40% RO and 60% tap then ph it to 6.5 and give them a water...(they are about dry right?) That is what you can do easily since I dont know if you have camg or not. Allot of people dont pay attention to ppm when they grow in soil. Im just a little anal and really like to know all my numbers and exactly what they are getting. I got my TDS meter for 20 bucks at the hydro shop, Its a hanna. Works great for what I want it for. If I were doing hydro then I would get a better one. Let me know what you do then just wait for about 3 days atleast for them to dry out. I just put some little clones in some cups about that size and I water them about every 4th day.
What really helped me learn to understand the lift the pot method for watering was I got this cheap 5 dollar moisture meter from home depot. I would water when it hit between the one and two which is really dry but that is what MJ likes. I finally got to understand the lift the pot method for watering, now i dont use it too much. I over watered so much at first...lol. So anyways...like I said let me know what you decide to do then we'll see how it goes. you problem im about possitive is camg defincent, over watering, and watering with the wrong ph of water. You can correct those things very easily and they will bounce right back. Sometimes they like the abuse. LOL.
