Need some help getting a mother plant

I currently have 7 plants which are about a week or two away from flowering and wanted to make a mother plant if I get a decent amount of females (3-4). How do I do this? This is my first grow so I probably couldnt find pre flowers or what have you so do I flower till sex shows then take the one I want as a mother and put into a seperate room under 18/6? Or will it need 24 hours to go back to vegetive state? Is that even possible? Any advice on what I should do? Thanks alot for any suggestions.:weed:

how bout takin a clone off each plant and make sure u label them and put the clones in flower and wen u git ur females then u can decide which to keep as a mother. u can put clones into flower as soon as they have rooted so it wont take that long prbly bout 1week

label your plants. then take clones label the clones so youknow what plant they came from. put the clones into flower after they show sex kill the males. after sexed read labels then keep the mother that has the best traits that you want.

Take clones from each and mark.make roots Flower clones then you know what you have males or females.Without mixing good plants chancing getting seeds.Stay with this we will help.
