need some help bad

so, im a new member and im not really sure how all this works. but, i just started my first grow last week and now have three 2'' plants that im growing in my closet. im using a combination of miracle grow soil on the bottom, vermiculite in the middle, and a small amount of miracle grow soil on the top. the light im currently using puts out 5,500 lumens and i have it about 8 inches above my plants; givin them 12/12 light. i water them twice a day with tap water that has been left out for a day and the temp. is around 75 at all times. but, there u have it, completely inexperienced and ready to learn so if any of you can help me out please comment

switch them NOW to 18/6 or you grow will be fucked

now to the rest, what lights do you use right now? cfl's or what?
if you use cfl's move them down right above the plant tops, and you may want place it horizontal and not let just it dangle down, that is for better light usage
don't use nutes right now, that will kill your young babies! wait for this at least until the have grown several set of leaves.

thanks alot bro i just switched the timer to go off at six and start back up at 12 like u said. i think the lights a cfl but ill have to go back to the store and read the box cuz i through mine away.

alright i just got back from the store and the light was nutes. so i bought a new light that puts out 2700 lumens and is cfl

do you think thats enough light?

You are going to want to increase the number of lights... what is the "true" wattage of this one?

i just installed a hydroponic drip system and set it to water my plants 3 times a day when the lights on. any advice on what kind of nutrients to use?
