Need some advice on dying seedlings..

Hi all as the title states in having some issues with my plants, This is my first Hydro grow after a couple of years of successful soil growing. Everything was going fine until a 2 days ago when I noticed that some of the plants leaves we're yellowing, turning crunchy and shiny in some spots spots. Nothing was changed since starting the grow except adding extra light, a small fan and a repositioning of the humidifier, I noticed that my plants we're wet one morning when I woke up about 4 days ago. I think it may have been due to the change in the positioning of the humidifier and the fan. I have since moved both so they are not directly blowing on the plants, but I think the damage may already have been done. I think they may be dying due to a mold issue on the leaves or the PH of the water, My PH meter isn't working properly so I have just been using plain tap water which has been left out over night to evaporate the chlorine out until I can get some litmus paper or a new meter. The plants were looking good prior to this and I am just wondering if high PH can cause these problems or if it is another issue such as mold. If anyone has any ideas or advice it would be greatly appreciated. Both buckets are DWC systems which were being misted from the bottom until roots emerged from the baskets about a week ago. Then I added water to the buckets and a medium air stone in each, The roots then took off and have been growing well, I have not started using any nutes yet, One bucket has rockwool cubes in hydroton and the other only has hydroton and neoprene collars. Its been 17 days since they were germinated and transplanted. The first set of pictures were taken 5 days ago (Sorry for the lighting) and the rest were taken today . TIA.

Accurate PH is essential. Start there, right now.
Yeah I realize Ph is essential, I am just worried that it may not have just been a Ph issue as it came on so fast and out of nowhere and because they were looking good up until 3 days ago and were growing for 2 Weeks+ before i noticed anything. I just want to make sure its not also a pest or mold issue as well before i start some new ones as i believe these ones are already toast. Thanks for the input!20210524_142033.jpg20210524_142055.jpg20210524_142119.jpg20210524_142136.jpg20210524_142154.jpg20210524_142219.jpg

If you grew in soil would have taken longer & been less severe. As you grow hydro, impact is near immediate & there’s no buffer.

Nobody else noticed bugs? Am I that stoned?
Yeah it looked like a pest problem to me, I haven't seen any bugs though. But the first picture in my second post looks exactly like whats described in bug problems, Especially the weird shiny coating on some parts of the leaves and weird cotten like fuzz. I think it could be a combination of Ph and bugs.

I would defo take xtsho's advice and check for bugs. But it also looks like serious mould issues. Cut all those moldy leaves off, treat them and get them in separate pots. You may just save them. I have noticed something similar to what you have said about the plants being all wet. In my case it was when the lights would come on. What I worked out was the temperatures dropping at night would cause the humidity to precipitate and cause water all over the plants. As the lights warmed up the room again the water would evaporate into the air. This on that grow caused mould problems just like yours. So you need to sort your humidity out and cover any open sources of water and stabalize and control your day and night temps. Oh and get plenty of fresh air being replaced in the room.

Thanks for the advice, I've read that hydrogen peroxide is good for mold and some pests, Would spraying the plants after removing the effected leaves help? If so at what ratio should the solution be? Should some be added to the reservoirs as well? I would be using 3.5% Hydrogen peroxide.

My ph meter was lying to me, its not old or anything, back to the liquid test for me. Then l know for sure what my ph is. Should never of bought ph pen, made me lazy. Ive been suffering through low ph and thats my call on your plants. Good luck with your grow.

Thanks! Yeah I picked up some Dutch Treat Ph test paper today and my Ph is actually a bit high sitting at about 6.5, Which pretty much match's the average Ph of tap water in my area. So I'll be adding some Ph down and see what happens. I'm starting to believe it was more of a mold issue though so I'm going to trying treating them with hydrogen peroxide, I've already removed the leaves that we're dead or crunchy so I guess we will see what happens.

Everytime l grow in dwc l get rootrot. I plant it in promix hp m. They dont skip a beat, full recovery. I find soilless soils so much easier. I suck at dwc!
