Need Questions Answered for My Setup

Hey RIU Members,

I didn't really know were to put these questions, and I felt like if I put them in my grow log they won't get answered, or they will and not a broad enough answers from different people. This is my third grow.

Here is my setup:
300w of CFLs
2 plants, might go to 3
12/12 from seed, expecting to push out a plant avg 2months
Soil
It is a mix of the book "Buds for Less" with my own modifications


Now that you know what I'm working with, here are my questions:
  • I'm working with limited space, should I use LST or scrOG or just let it do it's thing.
  • After I harvest these plants, I'm hoping to get a zip of dry weight, and I want to do somewhat of a perpeptual grow so would I just start one or two more plants every month?
  • I'm hoping to get a zip a plant, and not two plants, is this a reasonible number? Since I'm kind of going off the book "Buds for Less" they claim getting 8 zips off three plants with less lighting I'm using.

Ugh, god deleted my original post...let me see if I can remember.

1) What is the space you have?
2) What strain?
3) Are you starting with seeds?
4) How did your first 3 grows go?

I happen to love lst with scrog. It is optimal for limited space. And you can def get a system going. Take clones while your others are veging. By the time your other plants are done flowering, those clones should have vegged enough to go into their own flowering cycle. Its all about timing. And an ounce is very achievable.

1. Well my space is 25'' deep 28'' wide and about 42'' tall Might be able to expand slightly on to those numbers but not much
2. They are bag seed, one is suppose to be OG Kush, the other one or two, depending what I keep, are Lemon Sunrise
3. I'm starting with seeds yes
4. My first grow took a long time, was very experimental, trying tons of stuff, with maybe a 23+grams, my 2nd grow had better lights, but still pretty ghetto setup, let it do it's own thing, and got 16g in two months. This is my third grow, best setup by far compared to others, except I don't got my lights yet, but my plants are all under a week old so I got time.

Yeah? I just feel with 12/12 from seed my plants won't get tall enough to do lst and scrog together, that's why I am trying to decide which.

A zip a month I figured wouldn't be too hard, just enough for personal 1g or so a day. I'm expecting to get a bigger yield, but being realistic.

Sounds good. The space is great. You have some options. Scrog away. I would start seeds every 2 months for the perpetual grow, and I think you will do fine on your yields. When you order your seeds, think about a autoflower for your setup. Might work out nice.

It's two months give or take. 12 12 from seed your basically skipping the veg process. Yes the plant does veg on it's own anyways because it's nature, so I skip that month people use to veg pretty much. I get lower yields obviously, but I can get plants out quicker and fit more plants in that same amount of space.

Also personal pereference always plays a role.

I looked into auto flowering but I feel that with the option of it growing out bushier then just a straight cola, I can get more yield. Plus those auto flowers do stay pretty small without touching them.

So if I do scrOG, what would be a good size for the holes in the screen with my size of setup, I would guess it wouldn't be the same as most larger scrOGs.

And how far away from the plant/plant pot I should set it at.

Since you are doing smaller plants but more of them (the way i do it) you should have it about 12-14 inches about your base. and 2x2 squares are perfect for all scrogs, and you can lst as soon as you have a few branches,

Is the base the top of the pot or bottom lol

A screen with 2x2 holes are ideal. Dog kennel fencing is perfect! and i would set the screen 10-14 inches away from the base.

That seems a little high? My last grow plant only got to about 15in or so, came from a bag seed that was "Silver haze" when I cured smelled like lemon pledge :D
