i like sunshine pro mix number 4. i use it for all stages of growth. i even use it for cloning. its mainly peat moss, perlite, and domolite lime. i also like fertilome soil.

lot of people praise fox farm ocean forest. i have had good results with it, but it always seems like i get a bunch of gnats with it. then when companies like this get questioned about the gnats they always have some bs excuse. they say "it's naturally part of the soil this and that. buy our overpriced pesticides to treat it. we dont steam our soil because it kills beneficial bacteria." i really hate these companie's excuses. they need to really kick up the quality control. i dont understand why they cant just re add the beneficial bacteria after steaming.

stay away from any soils with time released fertilizers. you can always look up the active ingredients listed on the package for info.

sunshine pro mix #4 .................is the best hands down
Fox Farms Ocean Forrest (ffof)............is great too it is very N heavy great stuff
Black Gold ....................Nice over all soil i mix FFOF and this ............this can be used as a stand alone and most stores chains have it

to get your best results u need to pick a organic feeding line (or mix of both) so u feed the little microbos in the soil and by the time u cut the plant the whole soil is just one gaint root ball

Yea but there's some

1 - I can't get them here and I don't order things online so what I can get is limited
2 - I refuse to pay alot of money for soil. Iirc 1 bag of soil from FF was about $15 and I am not paying that much.
3 - I'm not growing mj so paying alot for potting soil is pointless for me.
4 - I only have a choose between Merical Grow, Schultz and Vitalium Potting Soil

your not paying for the soil ........u are paying for them to do the work and get the soil strong and good for your plant

if u tried to copy the stuff they do in the soil the cost alone for the addin they use would break u plus u need alot of it 50 gallon of soil

breaking it down buying the soil from like amazon or someplace that offers reduced shipping cost is cheaper in the long run ...............if u are smart enough after u have done 10 20 plants u can clean the roots out of the used soil and start to reclaim it power it back up for your next grow there by reducing the cost more

ifu want cheap easy access then do hydro (filter the water and u got unlimited ) just need the feeds to add

all 3 choices are shit ..............u will grow something but the yeild will be under what other ppl have

i tried to do it your way i even tried making my own ..................FFOF is the shit alot less work and oh my god what does the plant need what am i missing

(i have to order mine online due to the fact the cops sit outside the only store in the area that sells it copies car plate numbers and then does a trash grab every so offen to look for a reason to raid the house ) ...........once trash is out on the curb it is public access so they can take the bags look inside for any plant things and it gives them a reason to enter the house

u just have to suck it and order it .................if u are worried about shit get a prepaided credit card and send the goodies to a empty house .........they drop it off u go and claim it a few hours later

just saying my own soil made me a 1 oz

FFOF makes me 4 to 5 oz a plant ..................that second OZ pays for it
u figure out the cost to make
and times it by 3
1 for cost recovering
2 to double up next time
3 for your troubles and time

2 plants make me about half pound every 75 days seed to cut in the jar............cost 90 bucks a plant (soil power feed) i charge 300 a oz and the weed is some of the better strains that my area has not seen so i have a market always ...............it is 2400 every 75 days plus free smoke total work time is maybe 60 hours water trimming all that

the cost benifit it makes sence

Kelloggs Patio plus is cheap and available at home depot.....it's decent soil for the price....$4.98 for 1.5 cubic foot bag.....also look for Epsoma Plant tone, cost about 10 bucks also @ home depot,it has some good organic ingredients and beneficial microbes to get you through your flowering. You can grow mj relatively cheap, you don't have to spend all that money on over priced soil.

I disagree, here is what I have going with strictly Schultz all-purpose potting soil. Indoor grow, CFLs. A couple weeks into flowering.
