Hm ph-80. I haven't bought an expensive pen since my hanna died 10yrs ago. If it still reads 7.0 after months of not calibrating then I'd say it's accurate

Hey im new here, blue lab work with water too or just soil? Should I buy test strip? Money isn't much of an issue and I'd like it to be accurate and last. Really new to this lol doing it for fun so my wife has a nice supply of smoke.

Sorry I'm hijacking your post too lol but figured better off than making my own.

The BlueLab pen is excellent, you wont need a test strip. What you do is buy the care kit, and it's got a storage solution and a PH4 and PH7 test standard you use to calibrate your pen once a month (it will remind you). Great pens, so much better then those cheap chyna yellow ones.

Awesome appreciate your input dude! So I just want to make sure we are on the same page, the pen works for water and soil?

I'd like to be able to test the water before I put it in the soil and frequently check the soil

Doesn’t check soil. Not a soil grower but you should check the run off and compare with what your putting in. Perhaps a soil grower can chime in here.

They do have a dedicated soil pen https://bluelab.com/new_zealand/bluelab-soil-ph-pen

As LC39 said you can use their regular pens and check the run off PH and PPM to get readings. I grow in soil, i check and correct the water every watering and then check the runoff PH and PPM once a week. Never had a real need to measure soil PH.

Thank you guys that's exactly what I needed to read lol

Would this be the one I want ? For the water and checking run off
