So my dumb ass left a few half gallons of 1% milk in the trunk of my car last night, not realizing it until about 2 in the afternoon today. Is it safe to drink? Temp was probably mid 60's at time of dumbassedness with over night lows around 53-55. Temps at time of remembrance was 75-80. Immediately put into fridge.
???drinkable???
By you yes, by her no. Pasteurized milk can hold at room temp for a surprising amount of time prior to souring. But subjecting a 35 week pregnant women to the worry is just not good. Get her another carton of milk, happy wife, happy life.

It would have to be really really old to cause harm. Initial sour = lactobacillus. Like yogurt. Tastes like shit but harmless

We've become too afraid of microbes

I'd drink it, but not the wife, but not for health reasons. Like Rrog says its how you make yoghurt. Reason she shouldn't drink it is if anything goes wrong preg-wise, she'll recall this and there will always be an "I wonder" and someday it'll bite you in the ass
