planning on building a grow tent of around 5'x5'x8' tall.

was thinking to just make a frame using eight 5' pvc pipes and eight 4' pvc pipes, corner connectors and straight connectors to make the 4s 8' tall.

Then, wrapping this up in whit panda wrap would take 210 sq ft of panda.

what do you guys think of this plan?

wrap up panda, then use 4" ducting and a 6-4" conector and a 6" booster to vent from the top and set up a 4' parabolic umbrella reflector to hang from the middle... oh shit how should I build a support beam on top so I can hang the light? I guess I could use four 2.5' pvc pipes on top and use T connectors and an additional 5' pipe down the middle.

how thick of pvc should I get,

any better ideas?
I'm really only doing this for the vertical space.

maybe some of you have experience with one of these tents and could review it for me

PVC pipes are not toxic to your plants, and I would go with 1.5" or 2" PVC for the framing if its going to support your lights. (remember to use cross supports, 8' if a long ways for PVC it will bend a lot)

What material will you user to light proof?

This is something I also have been thinking about doing but the only part i don't have figured out is a cheap light proofing material.

I think if you get fairly thick panda plastic it will be light proof...

probably just gonna buy a tent because making one won't be as reliable, and will probably cost 1/2 the price by the end.
