Need mite info

So I just had a mite problem with my closet grow, and decided to just scrap the whole thing. It came on hard and fast and I had no chance. Learned my lesson and wont take plants from other peoples set ups without doin at least some treatment to kill anything on it. Anyways I have access to better genetics now than what I had before.

So here's the question. I killed all my plants and threw em away. Cleaned the whole room. There are no more plants for the mites to feed or live on, so they should just die off after like a week right? They lay eggs after 3 days then die not to long after. Eggs will hatch, but the new mites will have nothing to feed on and should die before they get a chance to lay eggs of their own. Right? Then I should be able to start my next seeds (after I spray the joint down with neem) and dont need to worry about the mites again as they should all be dead? Or am I way off base here? I just do a closet grow and WILL not be getting plants from those guys again.

So am I safe?

Thanks Kevin! I was hoping it would be that easy! Just wait a while and start again once I'm sure they've all died. I got enough dank genetics seeds to not need cuts from other guys anymore.

.......just keep in mind that any surviving eggs can lay dormate for quite some time.....well over a year, or so I have read and heard. The bleach/water thing will work, just be very thorough. I had them pretty good a couple of years ago and tried everything under the sun and couldn't get them out..... So I did nuke them with FloraMiteSC and pretty much started from scratch again. They can be a real bitch, that is for sure......and did you see weedwars last week?? Talk about mite-ridden shit!---->everything had tents of webs and he couldn't even kill them off with mass dosing of CO2........
There are 100's of 'home remedies' out there and here, and I am sure a lot of them work too, but so many just become 'controls' and dont actually kill them all.
Anyway, good luck getting rid of them--I truly hope you have success!! Find yourself a set of preventitives for the future and stick to it. It's what I do now and I haven't seen a mite in my grow for a few years now....what a relief!!
Are soiless? Sealed?
