okay so today when i was in the garden, i seen one of my babies finally peepin thru:clap:, i added a lil water (bout 3 drops) and the whole thing came out:spew:, she has her first circled leaves but it doesn't have a root (either that its like very short)...i just stuck it back in, in hopes that a miracle happens can anyone please tell me what to do? should it even have a taproot by then, and if so how long?

I don't think it jumped out what prob happened is you unearthed the soil with the water. Just don't f with it and you will be fine + i'm getting the impression that you are using bag seed so if you lose one or two sprouts its really no big deal.

Yeah, if you aren't seeing a taproot yeah, two things are happening:

*Your seed is crap.
*You need to plant it or soak it in water a bit.

When a plant hasn't grown a strong root, then things are rough. The good news is that a plant at that stage is going to have a better chance of rebounding than it might when it's older.

A good site to check out for growing advice for organic growing and high quality growing is: http://www.hydroponicmedicalgrower.com. There are some cool forums there for natural techniques to nurse your plants back to health.

Hope that your seed isn't crap, but if you don't see any changes in about a week, then it's time to move on to a new start.

Good luck! :leaf:
