NEED Lighting ADVICE QUICK!!!

I have a grow box that is 35"Hx26"Wx45cmD and i have 5 cfls and 5 plants. 3 of the CFLS give about 2600 lumens and 1 is 65watts and another is 85watts. I really dont like the way it looks and feel likes is not that efficient. I was going to go pawn all the clamps i bought and Invest in one HPS light in a reflector.

So can someone give me spec advice for a nice reflector under 250$?
I have a hydro store near my place so i want to go buy one today and begin . Will the new lighting mess with the way that the plants have been growing? This is also like a one time light buy so that i wont have to buy any more later on. Any advice would be awesome!

That box is too small for an MH/HPS, you'll have heat issues.

In fact, that box is too small for pretty much everything other than it's current use/or 1 plant...you intend on removing them in a few weeks?.

I mean Im all for advice I want to put an MH/HPS system what kind of box do you recoomend i move them too?

Sorry, wasn't trying to be rude.

You could maybe do 2 plants in it, if you veg for a short time and use proper pruning methods. It's the depth of the box that's going to limit you fairly quickly.

Can you move to a closet?.

well I cant really move to a closet at the moment. The reason i want to get the one HPS light is for 2 reasons actually. I have relatives coming in soon and I am moving my grow system to my friends place for aboiut a week so i dont want to have to move 5 lights i rather just have a grow box. I might go buy a grow tent today with the HPS and light that way i can move the whole system at once. The other is because I want to continueto grow after and i feel a good grow light is a a good investment.

You're going to need more space anyways for 5 plants, but at the same time you will need 2 bulbs. One MH and one HPS, if you veg under an HPS bulb...they will stretch to high heaven.

I'd stick with the box until after relatives leave, then go w/the tent set-up.

I have some new rules I live by for this. It's a bit different.

Don't think Light, think heat.

Don't think Space, think vents.

Don't think height, think light burn.

Don't think Nutes, think roots.

So, you are talking with a guy that has tried 400w vertical water cooled HPS in a 100 gal garbage bin.

HPS is too intense at any watt to put very close to any plant. I looked at 250w in a locker cabinet....well that leaves about 1.5 ft for a plant.
