Sup guys and girls I'll start this like every other n00b starts by saying this is my first grow, and I'm learning as I go. So far, it's been great, but now I'm running out of room for my ladies to grow vertically. And let's just get this part out of the way.
Here's my set-up:
My grow area is approx. 2' x 2' x 4'
Home-made CFL light panel includes
1 x 105W 5000K 7,150 lumens
8 x 23W 2700K 1,600 lumens
Total lumens = 19950
I've got one intake and one exhaust fan, both moving about 70 CFM.
They were planted in 3.1 gallon square containers
I'm watering about every other day to once every 3 days, alternating straight water with nute water. I'm using Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom ferts.
The strains are Euforia and Brainstorm. Brainstorm is just over 13" and Euforia is almost 17". I started them flowering 3 days ago after 5 weeks of veg. My problem is they've grown into big, fat ladies which is awesome, but Euforia is just growing taller and taller. I was hoping to train them somehow in a spiral but their stalks have become so thick there isn't much bend to them.
So I guess my question is how have other people dealt with running out of vertical space? Has anyone tried training their plants in spirals or is there another way you guys know about? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, I find bouncing ideas back and forth with experienced growers tends to yield a better solution
