Need help

i am going to be growing in my closet and i need help picking lights.
i am going to be growing one whiteberry clone. I was wondering what type of lights i should use. i want to use cfls because they are cheap, so how many watts/lumens do i need to grow and a good amount of bud?

Well you need alot

Starting out for the first 2 weeks 2x 26w 6500k will do and keep adding 2 every week is what I do.
6500k daylight for veg
2700l warm for flower

alright thanks man i have 6 26watt lights so i should be good for a while right?

well shoot for a foot or a foot and a half, because they stretch and can triple in size in flowering

ok i got my clones now and have 2 instead of 1 so i am happy:)
so far i have 2 42 watt and a 26 watt on them i am adding more as soon as Homedepot gets more 42 watt ones

i will put pics up soon so you can give me some advice.

Are you still vegging?
what K (color) are the lights?
6500k for vegging
2700k for flower
happy growing.

you dont need alot of light to harvest alot of bud, you only need the power of the sun which is about 4000 lumens/sqm.

just set up a box with 8x 23w CFL's 4 2700K and 4 6500k. the plants dont JUST use one spectrum of light while they are in a spicific stage, they are using the full red/blue spectrums of light at all times, its just that in Veg they are UTALIZING 70% blue light and 30% red, vice-verca for flower.

i have a 3x3x3 box with 10x23w CFL's in it, 7 6500k and 3 2700k for veg. it works GREAT.

Corbat knows what hes talking about! make sure you have a fan in there as well.do the clones have a root system established yet if not hold off on the fan till u can see new leaf growth.good luck to you!! :)

PS u dont need the lights really close if theres no root system yet u dont want to fry them!! 6 to 8 inches away if no roots 1 to 2 if there is with a FAN as well

The more light, the more Bud, Bud.
Yeah wide spec is a great way 30% of the other spec is a good mixture.
Some of us have to large a setup to mix em tho.

no pics yet, gettign my camera back tonight so i can get them so time this week :)


clones are now about a foot tall each.
lights are red an blue sectrum.
i have a fan on them, the roots are good i use areo ponics before i moved them to there buckets.
