Need help with yield issue

I’m trying to figure out how I can get more yield than a couple of ounces out of my grow setup, here are the details:

Grow room: closet 2’d x 3’w (I have more space olny using half the closet) x 4’h (height is due to hanger rod)
Light: 600 watt HPS (switchable)
Nutrients: Cutting Edge Solution 3 part & Advanced Nutrients Big Bud
Exhale bag co2 (about 3/4mo used)

Also, which type of setup will work the best for that size. I like hydroponics but I am playing with Roots Organic Mix and looking into Sunshine Advanced Mix #4.

I think soil/coco will work best in your situation. As far as yield that just comes with practice, trial and error is the best way to learn imo. Finding good genetics is also a big part of it, without good genetics the plants will not produce no matter how good the conditions are.

grow using a waterfarm kit and a scrog screen to fit you enclosure. Use Flora Nova Bloom , Scottybally waterfarm guide manual. simple as fuck . Pineapple express will give you anywhere from 8 to 15 oz off one plant. My present waterfarm CAsey Jones should pull me over 12 oz or more off one plant. easy as pie too. good luck what ever you deciede. peace ...amber

Being a relatively smart guy and starting out with a relatively brown thumb, it has taken me about 30 or so cycles to get to the point of getting to about .6g a watt consistently with quality.
There is a total art to this thing and like all good things, it just isn't all that easy.

-Sorry

Being a relatively smart women and starting out with a brown thumb, it has taken me one waterfarm grow with the correct set up , nutrients and protocol to get 8 oz off of one plant. Why is it evertime i come to this site there seems to be some pessiminstic person with a bad attitude more than ready to try to keep a new enthusiastic gardener from achieving a goal. Yes challenging but with the right attitude it can absolutely be achieved.
Manishways, if you would like my help and guidance with waterfarm i would be more than happy to help you.
Peace
Amber

I use cutting edge too..with a coco and perlite mix. It is a good line Ive been using it for years. Do you use their plant amp (calcium) too? Start out with good clones with thick stalks if possible, little spindly ones from the club suck. Topping your plants helps too..I do it once so I get about 4 or 5 even branches. Practice makes perfect, good luck

I would build a DWC tote and grow 4 plants under that 600w. you can get 1/2~1lb if you do a nice scrog in that space..

Thank you so much for all the great advice, I have been looking into buying the waterfarm top drip kits and switching down to four 3gal buckets. I have built a scrog screen, just haven't put the legs on it yet. As far as genetics go I have been starting from seeds everytime, I have only done cloning twice, once with my purple elephant and now with my cotton candy. I like the waterfarm kit because it uses a top drip/dwc setup which to me just seems so much easier. The question I have with dwc is, do I dump all the water every two Weeks and start with fresh water and nutrients or do I just add nutrients and water as needed?

I've never flowered in a waterfarm, but I keep my moms in them. I have room for an 8 pack and 4 singles at any given time and I've been working with them for quite some time in this configuration.

With the 8 pack, you really should change it out every 2 weeks.

In the singles a larger plant will drink all of the water in a day, so in my situation, I rarely change the water there. But, always monitor the color of your water for pathogens. If you see a change of color in the solution, change it out immediately.
There is a thread on waterfarm tips and tricks out there somewhere that is very helpful.
