Good day to you guys,

Wondering if someone could clear this up for me. I bought 2 x 1000w magnetic Ballasts, can`t remember the name still have the boxes at home (Sunsystems or something). They are open, no casing, and I have a switch in the back, with a additional plug, to run the same wire used for 110v (looks like a PC power supply cable) . Seems I can plug it it either socket and flip the switch.

I would like to run a 220v wire from a double pole 30amp breaker on my box, and have 4 outlets dish out 220/240 to feed these ballast, as I am looking to put 2 additional lights, and I would prefer to free my 110v outlets since those run close to 9 amp each on the 110 and makes it unsafe I`m thinking to plug anything else.

I just have no clue as to how to wire these outlets. Seen plenty of Dryer outlets on the web but not any regular outlets dishing 220v.

Anyone have any diagrams or pictures or tips.

Thank you

I'd call a mom and pop type electrician. You'd be surprised how many electricians set up grows and keep their mouth shut. Id call one and tell em exactly what you want to do : set up a sub box to pull elect to 220 plugs. When they come out, show them your box to see if its possible. 1st step.

It wires for 120 or 240 I prefer the 240 option as it pulls alot less amps.

You should get a titan controller helios 11. I wanted the same thing after a outlet in a different room on the loop to my grow light melted. It could have started a serious fire. I used the controller it has a relay in it rated at 4000w, 10/2 wire and a double pole 30 amp breaker it works great. There $99 on amazon and worth the piece of mind.
