Need help with wires on older 400w HPS

i think this is not right hahaha damn dont want to burn or electricute

This is why you should not be guessing. Unless you have the manufacturer's schematic, or you are certain as to how this should be wired, you're risking electrocution or fire. Note also that it's very unlikely that any insurance will cover losses if a fire was due to one's own negligence.

Your why
I charge 65 an hour... Thanks for your fear of basic electricity.

You need to attach your last wire to the power provided by the transformer.
Should be one of the L's. Can't see which one it's tied to.

Ummm, I was a licensed residential electrician years ago, and am an electrical engineer.

You're giving out advice regarding wiring a mains voltage lamp with nothing more than guesses to someone who is clearly inexperienced.

Neither L1 or L2 has anything wired to them thats why im thinking there something wrong. There nothing to catch the electricity on the other side of L1 or L2

So Im gueesing maybe take out the thin wire from the bulb thats in l3 now and put it in L1 and one powercord in opposit L1. and then one powercord in L3 were the thin one is right now

Maybe like this? I took the thin wire from the lamp and put in l1 instead. Now Im thinking one powercord in L1 thats will go straight to the lamp and the other powercord in L3 were it will go threw the transistors n shit? hahah im only guessing here but what you think? Dont say yes unless your 100% sure, dont wanna explode or die :D
